Susannah's daughter shot a duck - oh my!

Yes I saw that. Good on Susannah for introducing her daughters to the great outdoors. Better than leaving them cooped up hunched over an xbox or laptop. Anyway, we're always told we should be bringing up strong, independent women. What do they want, for girls to be taught how to shop by themselves?

Well I've never heard of a child being 'blooded' when shooting their first duck, I also think that it's a bit unnecessary, but the main point is that in the pic where the child is right handed, and has the gun mounted to her right shoulder, she's got her right eye shut! Oh, and the gun is a frightful fit!

Otherwise, fine by me, they can do what they like. Her child, her choice!

Alec.

I don't even mind about the fit of the gun Alec, as long as they ate what they shot!! what's wrong with the kid enjoying the fresh air, learning where food comes from and that a) guns have to be handled appropriately and b) death (however it happens) is part of life.

:D

The "outrage" is just inevitable. But I am not sure that I am 100% happy with the idea of a 10 year old shooting.

Wild duck is very good to eat though .......................
