Suspected Food Intolerance

My gelding has a sore stomach, has been scoped and all clear, we now think it might be a food intolerance (not quite sure what (maybe alfafa or molasses). My question in can they just develop these things and also if i remove all traces of this from the diet how quickly will be able to tell.

My gelding has a sore stomach, has been scoped and all clear, we now think it might be a food intolerance (not quite sure what (maybe alfafa or molasses). My question in can they just develop these things and also if i remove all traces of this from the diet how quickly will be able to tell.

I could tell within 3 days that food had caused our problems but it could take up to at least a month. My mare kept improving for weeks, even though she was so different so quickly.
