Just brought horse in this morning, slighly lame on turns, no heat, no pulse, not fat.
Have left in with good bed etc, but unfortunately her field mate also has to be in with her
or she creates. How long should I keep her in for ? Her mate will not be amused! Also they are in a barn so not much to look at. I do have a grass muzzle, which I just started using for a few hours a day to get her used to it but obviously not long enough !

You are definitely doing the right thing. Treating any lameness of unknown cause as laminitis, until proven otherwise, is always wise.

If she comes sound after 24 - 48 hours off grass, then that does point to early stage laminitis.

Is she lame turning in both directions or only one?

She was sound this morning after all day yesterday in and all night. I have turned her out in a muzzle as both she and her field mate were getting fed up being in. Think Ill get them in tonight though, just when you think youve done with mucking out and bedding etc.
Might just have been a field tweak I suppose. She was quite lame on turning left but v slightly on right might have just been uncomfortable turning due to the other leg possibly
