Have posted on Stolen forum, but you may want to note the above was seen acting suspiciously in the field entrance where my daughters pony is kept in Charvil, just east of Reading at ten to one this morning and some rugs were stolen (Mark Todd, Amigo, all 6ft 6 brand new in bag, + one 4ft6 about 4 of them in total). Rest of what they were going to take was abandoned in gateway. They'd not cut the locks to the gate, just climbed over.

However I'm fairly sure I may have seen this van in the area a few days ago (we live in a dead end road ), so if you see it about you might want to ensure nothing is left where you keep your horses.

Am so glad I went out last night for drinkies, don't normally, and I usually drive so would often have gone home earlier and missed it all. Thankfully my being suspicious and slowing to get a look at the registration and effectively scaring them off has meant the adjacent stables were not affected.

Feel so sorry for the owner of the rugs as she does scrimp and save every penny she can to look after her horses. Am so angry at the low life that can steal from someone who really can't afford the loss, and the inconvenience of having to sort everything out and remove anything from site that is remotely nickable - they were going to take a pile of quite bent electric fencing stakes (we've hard ground) - you can buy them new 2 miles down the road for £20 .
