And I suspect my life will never be the same again!

i collected her last night at 4.30 - she was to be put down after 5. It was a hairy drive home as she was very needy. Couple of things though i noticed about her. She is the sweetest dog in the world. She is more lab than lurcher, and I would say she is only 6 months old.

I have no where to keep her yet, so I took her for a big walk and then brought her to a friends house for the night. I will take her back tomorrow when I get her pen sorted.

She is as good as gold. She is getting a bit clingy and I don't want to be encouraging separation issues. We have only fostered her for the moment and I have charities looking for a new home for her. If I can get someone in the UK to take her, she will go with the dogs trust shipment on thursday. Suzie has got her second chance!

Aaawww, that is good news. I don't know how you can bear to let her go. You'll have to put up some pics of her. And well done you for giving, what seems to be a fantastic dog, the second chance she deserves

6 months old and going to be PTS, they need to change the rules on that. I think that she chose you

Try and see if you can keep her? To be honest if she is brought up in a routine where she is say in your car wilst you are at work and you walk her at certain intervals then she knows no differant and will probibily adapt.
Good luck with you and Suzie, well done for giving her a second chance, she obviously adores you already

(Get piccys plz) :3

Well done for rescuing her.

I totally agree that if you are unsure about offering her a permenant stable home then she should move on.

The main thing is that you have given her a 2nd chance.

I am with Thistle here. You have done a brilliant thing in rescuing her and giving her a second chance, but think you are being very sensible in just fostering her whilst you find her a better home (no disrespect

). It would be very easy to let your heart rule your head here, but the fact that she is only 6 months old would imo mean it really would not be fair to leave her all day whilst you are at work. Wishing you loads of good luck in finding her a home, you are a star.
