Suzy my cob mare nearly killed us both yesterday!!

A month is a long time. At the moment the grass is coming through and they are all on their toes. My pony is safe as they come, I put my non riding mother on her, yet she has had a week off and I will certainly be lunging her before doing anything, normally I would just jump on her but she's feeling the "spring" grass now!

I would think although sold as bombproof you've had her a month and not complained in that time. You would also have to prove that she showed this behaviour before you got her and that it's not been caused by yourself. I'm not saying you have but this is what will be brought up in a small claims court.

To be honest, I have yet to meet a horse that would be safe hacking out alone, on busy roads, in a new environment, with a rider it doesn't know, after a month of not being ridden. And I have met a lot of horses.

^^^^^^^^

Agree with this. And Welsh D mares aren't known for being quiet, relaxing hacks at the best of times, let alone a youngster of only 6.
