Just got home from competing at Swallowfield dressage ,he went nicely but the marks today were low. Came 1st in prelim with 67% and 2nd in Novice [judge stopped me and gave me an error because he thought my 15 meter circle too big, it was about 17 meters, why stop me just mark accordingly} only got 63.5% and winner got 64% ,went well but a mean judge.
Roland Tong was riding in the warm up area in draw reins ,maybe the horse was not competing, we didn't stay to see if it was later, but HE was competing later and rule 57 clearly states that No horse may be ridden in draw reins even if not competing. We mentioned it but nothing was done as he is the rider at that centre. In the rules it says he should have been eliminated from the show but if the owner of the horse owns the centre what do you do. It was a lovely horse that didn't need draw reins anyway. Us lower mortals shouldn't complain about such things ,maybe?
