Some of you may have read my last post about our new acquisition Swan!

Quicky summary if you cba to read the above (don't blame you!)
Swansong is a 12yo ex racer who was successful racing, retired to be a broodmare but was given to me to hunt/event/play around with as she is just too good to spend the next 10 years chilling in the field!

Here' a quicky snap of what she looked like when she arrived!

fast forward 9/10 weeks and she went to Saxon fields in rugby to do an intro test! This was her first trip in the lorry since racing (except going to stud!) and her first ever dressage test! Suffice to say we weren't expecting anything to be honest I was planning on just riding around the warm up!

So rocked up to find we had a very chilled girl in the lorry who looked like someone had chucked a bucket of water over her she had sweated up so much (Think she thought she was going to stud again.. poor girl!).

After a chilled mooch round the lorry park we warmed up and my god was she fab! I've never ridden her around other horses but she settled amazingly and was working really nicely!

Popped in to do our test and it was blowing a gale force and the judges were in a shed... She was not aware of this until we reached the top of our centre line and had a bit of a panic! Luckily she settled and did a lovely test with only a few wobblies!

Wandered over to the boards to find we had WON our class out of about 7 with 67.8% and a nice few 8's in there including for her paces! With lovely promising comments about lots to like and more to come!

Absolutely thrilled with our not so little ex racer (I have a complex about how small I look on her!) So bit more work on her canter which is weak at the moment and then off to do some prelims I think!!

So here's a few piccys!

Some by the mummy: Shame she didn't tell me my hat silk needed sorting!!

Also decided I need to graduate from my eventing tweed to a Navy jacket as I'm now 21 and not even eventing anymore!!

So any Nice navy jacket suggestions that come in a 30" bust (yes I'm little!) thinking about just buying a nice children's show jacket from a showing company?

Homemade cupcakes for reading!!

You both look fab! She is a lovely girlie, I love her face in the 2nd pic she looks really happy :). What are your plans with her long term?

Bobby Boy they run an unaff every other sunday from intro to Novice with some elementarys running from july! I would really recommend going over there, we'd never been before but its a really friendly low key place with a couple of nice arenas and a farm shop and my grooms (sister and mum!) are sure they do the best bacon rolls!

Thank you I'm so pleased with how she's looking and feeling even after this short amount of time!

Spotted Cat I've just been looking at those they look nice and fitted! I think that may have to be a small present to myself sometimes soon!

Firewell I love that photo just sums her up perfectly she has such a happy outlook on life and is loving having a job again!

I think our plan is too just have a fun summer building up her muscles slowly with bits of unaff dressage and some sj towards the end of the summer! Probably hunter trial her a bit early autumn and then her real job as hunting pony kicks in over the winter! I already have people queuing up asking me to borrow her during the week while I'm at uni!
