Swapping over to nights?!

yep, swapped mine over at the weekend

I put my horse out from 3pm to the next morning in the summer. He comes in and snores (flat out in his stable!) between 9am and 3pm. I have decided to leave it a few weeks and will probably start putting him out overnight at the start of May. Thow I think there would not be a problem with doing it from now if you wanted to....

I have loads of grass at the mo so have swapped them over but strip grazing. They are rugged up so hopefully will be ok but I still cant help thinking its way too early!!
....oh well nevermind its a bit late now as started tonight

I think you are alright. It is 7 degrees here overnight which is a long way from freezing so I wouldn't be concerned.

Ours have been swapped over as my coloured was starting to get a sunburnt nose and one of the other liveries ponies was getting a bit weezy, so is better off out for longer.

Most of my yard has been at RC camp this week, they're coming back tonight and turning straight out overnight. I think it's too early, we don't usually do it until next month, and it's getting chilly at night again. Then again they have rugs so should be fine. Also we don't yet have our summer grazing, so they're still eating our hay fields!
But then mine is on box rest so it doesn't bother me too much!
