Hello, I've just bought a OTTB who has been with a trainer for a few weeks. Im not sure what they are feeding him there, but when I get him home in the next week or so, I'll be wanting to put him on the feed I want to give him.
I am aware that a new feed should be gradually introduced into a horses diet to prevent colic etc, however, I will not have access to the feed that the trainer is currently feeding him to be able to do that (I don't particularly want to buy a bag of it as I don't want to use it).

Has anyone got any advice on how I could introduce this new feed?

If it is simply a different type of hard feed, then I really wouldn't worry. Just stick with the bulk feed and change that gradually if you want to, and use a small amount of the new feed.

Be careful of switching to dry if the horse was on wet.

I don't even know what my new horse had as a hard feed, but I do know he was on haylage, so I bought some. He is now on 50/50 haylage and soaked hay. He can then transition onto soaked hay over the period of a couple of weeks. Hard feed, I have given a small amount of Speedy Beet with a handful of chop, just a token feed. This is a safe feed. Looking at his tunny, he was likely previously on a considerable amount of hard feed!
