Sweat rash, best remedy?

What's the best thing to cure sweat rash? Horses got a sweat rash from a dirty numnah and want to get it cleaned up quick.

I find hot clothing works well and also wash the numnah every week

Clip hair off affected area, wash with malaseb shampoo leaving it on for 10 mins before washing off, dry thoroughly and leave unrugged if poss to allow air to skin. Repeat the washing few times a week. Dont put a dirty rug back on horse, use a cotton sheet as under rug so can be washed frequently.
