o dear. does anyone keep an eye on horses when they are out.Obvious thing to rule out IMO is that said horse is not dashing about, fence walking/cantering... just uncomfortable without turnout arrangements?
We had a very sensitive mare who only liked to be turned out in the paddock nearest the stables... I assume she felt more comfortable there... if she was in any other paddock, no matter who she was turned out with.. she hated it.
Is horse sweaty in other situatations, ie stables, after/during work ? or just when turned out ?
Is horse lethargic/ giving poor performance ??? anything else you have noticed ..?

Like tikino, I was thinking hairy native and unseasonably warm weather. Or was the horse rugged? Stressed coz all companions in? Colicky? Liver problems? Pain anywhere? Is this a new symptom? Watch closely is also what I'd do but you can do some basic stuff first like check for pink gums, gut sounds, breathing rate, pulse rate, temperature, eating normally, drinking normally, pooing/peeing normally, not lame, no heat in feet or standing front feet stretched forward.

I was pretty sure when yard phoned me it was simply because he had winter coat and was sweaty from that and after seeing him today i agree with my first suspicions (sp?)
But thank you all you were amazing for all being there.

glad you have got it sorted..... it has been really warm here today too! Our little native doesn't know whether to grow a winter coat or not poor thing !!!
But its lovely to see the sun....
