The last few times I have ridden my horse he has sweat up in a little patch on the left hand side of his withers.
Has anyone else ever seen/ heard of this? and could it be a result of his recent back injury (although he is now mended and it is nowhere near his injury)?

How Weird! My horse has been doing this, exact same place, for the last week or so.

Will be interesting to hear of possible causes, although I have the back lady booked for later on this month and was hoping she could explain it.

I had a horse with this , but on his neck near his withers. Its a sign of nerve damage & may be related to an old injury.
My boy's patch used to get bleached with the sun in summer, & there was ofte a salty residue when it dried.
Your back lady may be able to shed more light on it. Mine seemed quite knowledgeable about it.

It does seem as though this part of the neck is easily damaged
