Ive got a lovely young cob, she means the world to me and i think we make a good team. She has been stabled all winter and loves it. She is pregnant and due in may so cant ride her after the end of this month
Anyway, the last few days, ive noticed that she is sweating up really badly in the stable, she is losing her winter coat, but when i go into her stable in the morning her neck and belly are covered in sweat.
She does not wear a rug and the stables are well ventilated. There is nothing around to cause her any concern. The vet suggested that i put her out overnight in the field minus a rug, which i did last night, but i was worried sick about her all night as shes out alone.
Has anyone ever experienced this with any cobs before? Will her being out minus a rug and by herself, do any harm? I cant put any horse out with her as her hormones are playing up and she tries to attack other horses now.
