At the end of november my boy got a nasty kick just below his pelvis on the right and the area around the wound was hot and sweaty. The wound cleared up but has left some scarring and the area is still always warm and a bit sweaty and has been ever since.
Yesterday I noticed that this whole area was all scabby and clumps of hair were coming out with scabs leaving bald patches! I though that the scabs might be because of the sweaty area even though I have been cleaning this but im really not sure
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this area is always hot and sweaty after the kick and also why it is now scabby like this?
Thank you for getting through my very long post ;)

Sweaty patches can be due to nerve damage. The scabs might be down to being warm and damp - a bit of a rain scald sort of thing. Is he rugged up?

Or he might have a skin infection that is causing the heating up?

Depends on the underlying cause, but I would maybe try an antibacterial wash over the area and let some air get to it, see if it starts to dry out and lose the scabs.
If it's a bacterial skin infection, it would benefit from being exposed to air. If it's irritation from the sweating, then having an opportunity to dry would help with that too.

If it's a nerve problem, then it may well continue to sweat anyway.
