Just a quick one...
The little guy (6.5months) has been a bit sweaty over the last few nights (he's stabled at night) on his bum (and less so his pits) he has a good woolly coat and has his second injection last monday (same time as the weather got warm). He's eating, pooing and drinking water as normal.
Just wondered if it's down to the weather or whether I should be calling the vet?

Mine sometime get that, i put it down to the fact that they have just come in after living out and get a bit hot and with the cool air they get a bit wet like a condensation

hope that helps.

quick edit just to add - that if (obviously he went off his food or looked ill then make a call to the vet even if just for a chat but im sure hes fine

The condensation thing seems about right! I really think it's because it's warm - can't believe I'm hoping for a cold snap just so things go back to normal...

Thanks

My 7 month old foal has a really woolly coat and on Saturday she was quite sweaty just being out! She is now in at night and first night she was in she was quite sweaty. I think the sudden rise in temperature accounts for that.

He'd dried right off during the day yesterday (it was a bit cooler) then by the time I'd brought him in, brushed the crusty bits and put him to bed he'd started getting warm again. It's defo just the temperature.
I'm going to take some pics this week, before he grows into a giant and I miss all his babyishness
