Sweeney / Nerve Damage - Which supplements may help?

Hi, A horse on my yard may have sweeney and the owner would like to give it a supplement to help with nerve damage. Can anyone recommend anything that they have used etc??

Magnesium - I think Epsom salts is what we used for this and also B Vits. Was advised 500mg a day. for a 690KG horse and one table spoon Epsom salts
