Well its a bit of a grey day here
s060.gif
- not raining at the moment but I don't think it will be lasting for long............looks like the coblet and the big grey lump might have to be lunged later to get in their daily leg stretch............

Off to do a bit of work in a while - just catching up with emails and admin first.

Hope you all have a nice day!!

Hope your all well! The weather is a bit
Sitting at work , waiting for 10am to start (late start today!) got up with OH this morning (his parents are away this weekend ) and left him doing lots of paperwork this morning
No plans for tonight, other than getting a few bits ready to Ebay at the weekend so I can get money together for my horsey fund

Hope you all have a great day and speak soon!

Idlp - don't worry, you are entitled to your opinion after all, and saddler should be doing her utmost to help resolve the problem, after all you are the customer!!

i know but this was ages ago
a035.gif

anywho have saddle now.
d040.gif

just trying to decide whether to get horse in or risk him being wet if they come.
c090.gif

Fingers crossed they turn up!!
g035.gif
I wouldn't worry to much as I would rather see a horse being caught and bought in from field than already in and stabled - you can always stick a rug on him while you are tacking up etc for 15 mins - will be enough to dry him off enough as its so warm.

oh it has just pi**ed down hmm
a040.gif

well was gonna say no sign of them, but she just called they are running abit late.

At least they let you know! That sounds good. I do hate it when people just don't turn up, no phone call, nothing!!!

Good luck, fingers crossed for you and the horse!!

well that went well....not!

firstly played up for bout 20 secs to catch. so catch him dry him off, tack up they are asking questions and stuff, the normal. then get on him hes bit abit full of beans which is quite nice to know actually for a oldish lad. im walking him round they take some pics without asking may i say. i start to trot on one rein then the other and they call me over, sorry hes not what we're looking for, and he looks bit lame behind
a050.gif
and thats it they go.
c060.gif

so i untack let him go and he proceeds to gallop off up field bucking and stuff now for a lame horse that aint bad!
c040.gif

i dont think hes lame and just think hes 15 and gets abit stiff from lack of work etc.
TBH didnt even feel lame to me, odd yes but im used to alittle 15.2hh tbx with floaty paces so! stiff mayb but lame dont think so.
a045.gif

oh forgot to say they all then proceeded to buck and canter round field lil buggers, cleo was even having a funny five mins when i was riding him, pain!

oh for him definition of full of beans is snorting abit lol
d045.gif

so beginning to think i should drop price or say possible loan ??

It's so frustrating trying to sell a horse!! Do what I do when people do that, and think "not the right caring owner I'd want for my horse"
grin.gif

Besides all horses need someone with at least some patience, and they didn't seem the type to have any. Also, at 15 he could be a little stiff, or developing a touch of arthritis, but what do they expect!!!

Don't dwell on it, someone will come along and you'll know they are the right person

yeah mayb just feel so
d015.gif
hardly gave him chance to warm-up, he was shaking abit when i brought him in, was fun to watch even him going mad round field bless.

oh horses why are they so bloomin hard!

i mean i could understand if he was horribly lame, but all she said was 'sorry hes not what we're looking for, oh and he looks abit lame behind.'

a035.gif

obviously he was what you were looking for otherwise you wouldnt of driven for over 2hrs and taken pics of him!!!!!

Ok, well I just think personally, there are so many posts about timewasters on here, and people always say to buyers not to waste the sellers time, if you don't think the horse is for you, walk away politely. That's what they did right?? Some horses look amazing on photos, and you arrive to find something that just isn't what you want to potentially own for the next 10 years. Don't take it personally, the right owner for him will be out there. Also about them saying he looks lame behind, it is likely that he is just stiff like you say... but my horse is currently being treated for bilateral hind lameness, but I couldn't feel it at all when riding her for the vet... it was really only something that someone with a very sensitive eye could see from the floor. But like I say with him being 15, he is likely to just be stiff. You say you could understand if he was "horribly lame" but if I was buying and thought he was even a bit lame, I would walk away with the thought of potential vet bills... If you thought a horse was lame- would you buy it?? What would be the point in carrying on the viewing if you didn't particularly like the horse?

but anyway! It's throwing it down here but I'm going to muck out my box rested girly in a bit
smile.gif

O poo!!
frown.gif
Still clearly not the right people for him - and he seemed to know it!!

I've just got back in - the thunder
s055.gif
is rumbling around but no rain - yet!! But it is getting darker by the minute so any moment now......Mind you the horses don't seem at all bothered - they haven't even looked up from grazing!!
grin.gif

ive been thinking and mayb ill try lunging him to see if hes lame.

altho is that advisable as dont want him getting hot then with rain cold etc.

It might be worth looking into it a bit more - I would wait until its dry though. It will be fairer on him and you!! When you do lunge him I would do it on a the longest lunge you can so you can the best view of him and his movement. Also start him on walk for a few minutes so he can warm up - if he is a bit stiff you should see him moving more freely as he warms up - then if it is a bit of stiffness/age related you can supplement accordingly. When did he last see the farrier? They can sometimes tell if the horse is stiffer/lame better then a vet - is the farrier due soon?
a015.gif

Spoke to soon about the rain - is lashing down now..........
s060.gif

here u go, bear in mind he hasnt lunged in quite a few years if ever since we've had him. plus im crap at lunging.
