I'm just praying the rain holds off for my dressage on Sunday. Not only will be doing our own leg-yielding across the school but we'll be doing drop and bolt loading at the wet ramp.
Well, if we're on the subject of moaning....I'm moaning about the garage that's had our car for four weeks under a warranty repair issue!!!
This is the fourth time it's been in, and I have now got a hire car from them (courtesy car another story!!) so have been running round all flipping afternoon trying to sort it out!!!
Sorry rant over!!! ....and breathe.....and drink more wine!!! anyone else for a top up?!!!
Well boringly its a combination of willpower and calories counting!!
I have found Paul McKennas book and cd/dvd very helpful to at stopping me from overeating - I don't eat rubbish food just to much of it!!
I live on yogurt, hot chocolate (made with water so about 100 calories a mug), soup and black coffee and lots of water. I allow myself one 'proper' meal a week - usually have to go to parents for sunday lunch - basically try and avoid any carbohydrate like bread, pasta etc. It is quite hard for the first few days and then it gets easier - I have to say the Paul McKenna really helps with the will power - sort of reprogrammes your mind!!
have you got to always eat like this, once you've lost the weight and you try normal proper meals again, surely the weight is going to go back on.
I've got to have a proper meal at least once a day
No - once you have lost it you just eat 'normal' food but in smaller quantities, on smaller plates etc - that is where the Paul McKenna really helps. The whole principle is that you eat what you want when you want but the disc - which you listen to and a couple of the techniques you learn in his book help the way you look at and eat food. I'm am just being really hard on myself to shift the first stone or so as then I start to feel and notice the difference so find it easier to stick to. If I just loose a pound a week I give up to easily!! I will go back on to 'normal' food the end of next week.
My biggest downfall is bread!!! Can't help it, it must be my upbringing!!! Not white sliced bread, but any small bread.
OH has been growing vegetables and they are all coming through now, so I've got a good supply there!!!
I only drink black coffee, so I should be able to manage that, but, like Samstar, I do need one proper meal a day!! Otherwise I'd have an awful headache!!
this is true............. is there a bug going around at mo that gives you really bad tummy pains unless you eat, cos this is whats happening to me at mo.
Started yesterday, have tried ant acid products but have found only eating helps
So do I!! After next week I will be having my one meal at night - just making sure I use either small bowls or plates, put your knife and fork down between mouthfuls etc etc All this stuff is in the Paul McKenna book and really helps - I was put on to it by a guy in the village who has lost over 5 stone and kept it off for over 4 years now - and he is a chef!!
f_s - bread and cheese is my failing - I could eat that and nothing else.......
But seriously its just about weighing and measuring and calorie counting and portion control.
- will have no excuse as the weather is due to be pants - again - and I haven't done any properly for weeks now - so even by my own low standards it needs doing......
