Its a bit of a grey day here - so a change of plan and no beach today but may go tomorrow.
The rescue where the coblet is from are coming to do their home check on her so will be nice to see them as I'm normally at work. Have just given the coblet 3 extra blades of grass so she is a happy bunny !! Will be riding the BGL in a bit and then am going to take the mutts for a big walk in the woods.
Last day of my holidays .......back to work on Monday!!

It's been really cold overnight again so I'm considering starting to rug up overnight. It's sunny during the day so that's a bonus, though I've definitely noticed a change in season and it's starting to get dark by the time I leave the yard now. As I'm sure you've seen by my previous thread, I had a lovely discussion with OH about starting a family last night and how we will manage if we buy Bellerina (that's a nickname not her real name!) but after posting on here I now feel it's totally manageable, both timewise and financially so my mind is a little more at rest. Riding out tonight, might be on my own, might be with someone else, not sure yet, either way it'll be good fun.
Morning all - first time I've joined this thread as I'm normally at work but I had an operation yesterday so am off for a few days! No riding for me then, and it's lovely and sunny outside!
My girl is being ridden for the next few days by some lovely ladies at our yard - you know who you are so thankies!
PS. Can I join the "We love chestnut mares clique"?
Last day of holiday as back to Uni Monday so making the most of it
Off to stables soon to do yard and field duties, ride and then lead out youngster for 20 minutew walk.
Might clean tack! Back home to drop dogs off before heading out to Asda for food shopping. Back home for housework and bit of pre Uni reading. Prepare dinner for starving kids and hubby, back to yard to check on horsies, feed the family, wave hubby off for the weekend (he has 2 jobs- bless him). Then bubble bath and glass of wine
sweet smiles and harmony have once again been restored in my household. and now the packing starts in earnest...
however, i spent the whole night getting upset that i didn't want to move. all that hassle trying to get stoooopid buyers to exchange, and now i think 'i love my house!' i don't want to move... but, too late. hmmm.... i'm sure i'll be ok once we're in, settled, fenced and the horses are with us.
today shall mostly be spent packing... and then i'm having a scan at 3pm to check my water levels (mmm, i'm a bit leaky... nice), then throw some hay at the horses on my way home, before embarking on yet more packing (and trying to persuade smelly teenage son to pack his own stuff... i went into his room earlier and it smells like something died in there...)
Clipcloppop... Once your all moved in everything will fit into place, and you'll find yourself thinking 'ahh, thats why i did this!' But, I wont say moving houses/children/horses isnt stressful, cos id be lying
Perhaps try bribing teenage son with food? ...My nephew will do anything for a bacon sarnie
Best of luck with it all, Keep thinking of the end result!
Morning all!!!! Benn up and about for hours, just not had chance to get on here much!!! been to see the ginger one and remove rug for his day in the sunshine!!! Gotta dash out in a min and go and check the house I am moving into..... had a few repairs done and they want to make sure I am happy with them!!!
Then its the usual hosuework and getting ready for work this afternoon...... tonight is puppy class for HRH Megan!!! and I've got to decide what I am wearing to the wedding tomorrow!!!!! busy busy busy!!!
But once this weekend is out the way I can get on with the packing as I move in just under two weeks!!!!!! Arggghhhhh!
Morning.
For once I'm glad to be in work. I'm aching like mad and lying in bed was worse than sitting in my chair.
Had the afternoon off yesterday
and was a good Samaritan. Took a friend who's back riding after a break out for a ride to remind her of a route she'd forgotten. Was sorting the horse out after getting back, when the new girl arrived and asked if was on my way out. Told her I'd just got back and she burst into tears. She's been having trouble with her new horse napping and spooking and was hoping to to find someone to go out with to see if it would help. So I went down to the field and got my friend's horse (looking after him while she's away luckily) and went out for a hack with her. Both horses are pretty wide, the second one especially as he's been out of work and is a bit obese so now my groin/hip area is very ouch.
I'm in meetings all day. Ho hum. Didn't ride this morning
Body not behaving, need to get back into the groove. Thought of riding after work, but depends on finish time as is daughter's scuba lesson this evening
Not heard about hubby's car yet, so we are a car short. Making life difficult re the horses. Is a major drawback of the yard that it's 11 miles away, and not on a bus route
Have fed and poo picked ponies, been up and fed horses, dragged son out of bed and taken him to college in town and just stopped for my peanut butter on toast and coffee and am now invigorated enough to get going again.
Off to nail some rails back up on the school and generally tidy up and prepare for the onslaught of hay and winter...
I've been into school this morning to do a demo to try and get more pupils, so fingers crossed! Have also sorted out my timetable (I think....) so will see what happens! Off to lunge little madam in a bit, then teaching again this evening. Woohoo!
well took dog for a walk and we were joined by a dog and no owner tbh i was quite scared. it was a lovely footpath could easily fit a horse along it but the grumpy people who i assume dog it was had put sign up saying no bridle path!! its bridleway you morons!!! some people are so miserable!
have fed horses and attempted to clean archies winky again but it kept poking in and out but that was it!!
then some stupid b*tch of a camper asked for cider so i said 'yeah sure' and she started saying 'yeah sure whatever' taking piss out of way i said what i did.
this annoyed me and i felt like saying you know its 1pm my lunch break so p*ss off but didnt. they always come at annoying times.
hehe ldlp if it's a bridlepath I think you need to ride down it regularly
Miserable people!
I've been up and lunged madam, who was very good as per normal! Took the lunge line off at the end and walked around the school with her following me, although when I ran off she just looked at me and walked after me... She is forward going, honest!
Hi everyone, well I got up at 7.15am went to work - work being a groom at a local riding school, then I finished at 12.30 today woop woop! Hubby is off at mo and did my mare this am for me even mucked out and put her out he is very well trained lol..
Then i've mostly been on here it's so addictive..lol
I will be off to local tack shop to get some shavings poor baby needs some, then I will go get her in, groom her and possiblt take her for a walk round the lake, and put her to bed, oh I have to poo pick her paddock
I'm also in midst of doing the washing..god I hate doing the washing then have to do housework later...well we'll see.
Hope your all having a good afternoon and have some good things planned for this weekend.
MrsM meetings oh I remember them and agendas and minutes.
Well the time flew by today George C is such a lovely chap. Had to kick him out sharpish though as parents have had a MAJOR DISASTER!
The Lawn Mower has broken and as you will probably be aware not being able to mow a postage stamp of lawn at least twice a week is the equivalent of the Titanic going down!
So after George left (Byee Honey missing you already) OH and I had to traipse around Garden Centre trying out lawnmowers for ease of push. We have got her one a Ghastly Yellow and red and I am going to sell its virtues as being like Noddys car. Does anyone know if Noddys car had a name??
So much for my luxury bubble bath treat in the morning I'll be delivering lawnmowers to little old ladies with grass 2 millimetres high!!
