Morning all!

Feeling quite achey all over today my arms being the worst, do you think last nights hack in new saddle I should have had my stirrups longer as I was down in the seat more than in my old saddle, my knees were starting to hurt on ride back.
Or is it just my age showing now

Samstar - the saddle makes you sit deeper, I would put the stirrups down a little, probably pushes your hip out more too, due to leg position

Morning all. Looks like a good day weather wise, early morning mist has cleared & sky starting to turn a nice clear blue.

Just waiting for window fitters to arrive then off to work. TGIF - it has been a horrid week, no matter what we guys in production do its not right!

No suncream for us either today, grey and overcast here. Lunged Belle last night as I couldn't bring myself to get on as my knee is healing now and it's really itchy and somehow more sore than when I did it.

Lunged her over some poles though and she was brill, despite being distracted by another horse at the gate.

Have fed and walked everything and now all hell has broken loose as the cat has decided to reassert his authority and repossess the house in time for winter - just a little noisy here at the moment but I'm confident the cat will win in oh 2 or 3 hisses and a well aimed paw swipe.......

working full time again, my baby is getting collected on Tuesday and stupidly, on the same day, I find out whether or not I get my new house...... I don't think my nerves will take it!!

Going to have a massive ebay session this weekend and clear out all my old horsey bits and pieces and maybe, if I can be bothered, go to the horsey car boot sale on Sunday. (Strictly selling though!)

morning all been out and checked and mucked outall the horses etc toby followed me bout like a collie dog. just chilling for a bit then will go ride him. ordered some magnetic boots for him so will see how they go when i get them
 
I'm back, decided as it was such a nice day I wouldn't school and thought I'd brave a hack on our own....... T bag has taken to napping these past few months and I hoped that going out with something else would help, but he still napped in company too!!! Naughty pony!!!
So jumped on and headed off on a 6 mile one, and we only had two naps!!!! and we were all on our lonesome too!!! All in all apart from the two hiccups, he was as good as gold and seemed to settle well after his little tantrum!!!
So now he has two days off as I really need to start this packing lark this weekend as I move a week today!!!! Have worked out if I get most of it packed this weekend, it means I can ride everyday next week apart from friday which is moving day!!!!!
Oh and if anyone wants to see the piccies of took of the ginger nut yesterday, ask me via PM for real identity as I've added the piccies to facebook!!!!

I've been on here all morning, now I'm off for lunch and to study for horsey HND, then probs back on here this afternoon! My whole world seems to be horses horses horses. If I'm not on here or studying horsey HND I'm planning what work I am goin to do with Belle next, where we can go for our next hack, what I need to buy her, how I'm gonna tackle her mud fever, when I'm going to bring her in overnight for winter... *goes off into horsey-filled daydream*

well i got the poo-picking done whilst waiting for vet, so one less job.

vet gave him his injection and watched him trot up and said he can start being ridden again, for 15-20 min in walk

I'm back! School was actually pretty good. Annoyingly it only took me about 15 minutes to get into town (!), and I had allowed 50.... Still, it meant I was there and settled (and that I got a parking space). Pupils all turned up so I can now look forward to some income!

Bad bit was I didn't have time to do anything with madam by the time I got away. Went straight to the yard, dragged her in, fed her, and threw her back out again. She didn't walk away from me when I turned her out so I'm assuming she wasn't impressed!

Got to teach for 3 more hours in a bit, and then tomorrow we're going cross country!!!! Got to take her round the 2'6 jumps though (including the scary coffin!) ahhh!

Great news about being able to ride again, a little is better than nothing. I lunged mine last night and I could have sworn she was nodding but OH swore she wasn't. Suppose school is uneven so that could have been it. Riding on sunday so I'll see how she feels, though I'm likely to overreact and insist she's on three legs!

Just having a quick cuppa - got back a little bit later then expected due to a small diversion via the shops - thought I would look for some work shoes for winter - am a little confused though - why is it that all the clothes shops want everyone to dress like hookers/lap dancers??

a) walk in lap dancer shoes
b) be taken seriously by anyone least of all my customers
c) they would go with my old fart/middle aged clothes!!
