It's threatening to rain here too, which is a bummer for my friend as she's just got a saddle for her daughter's new horse that she hasn't been able to ride for 2 weeks. And they only have fields to ride in.
So, we went to ride Kodak today, nice morning and even a bit of sunshine!!
He was a good boy to come in, brought the mini in too for a bit of company (who is so chilled he's virtually horizontal!!!)
, and they happily stood on the yard.
Then the tack fitting process began, we started by fitting saddles..umm a few, and found one that sort of fits, but could be better, so saddle hunting soon, unless another one we have might be better!!
Then bridle, not so much of a problem as P_P has a nice Stubben pony bridle which is virtually new
Then a bit...flipping heck, I turfed the tack room out!!!
In the end had to nip down to Countrywide to get one!!
He was very good, no problem when ridden, just has the odd look around, to be expected, and P_P loves him!!!
She's still getting used to him though, and his paces etc, as she's gone down in size!!!
Anyway, we didn't over tax him on the first go, enough to let him see everything and enjoy it, so she's looking forward to tomorrow now!!
I have a few photos, but will put them up later, as I've bored you all enough already!!
Big piece of "High School Musical" cake, OH got as a bargain, and hot coffee or chocolate to those that got this far!!!
oh what is it with men!!!
hes going to eston beach race to marshal, you have to get there for 7.30-8am which means quite an early start. hes got to go on his own as no one else wants to go, he asked me but i said no, for several reasons i now have a horse on box-rest, back is still alittle tender and it gets sore from standing round allday anyway so not good idea for me really!! and i dont wana get up that early.
i just said to him wouldnt you rather stay here with me, he siad no he wants to go so i said you'd rather go there than spend time with me etc and he said well you'd rather stay home than go with me etc.
Oh and ldlp111 - sounds like he's being a bit tetchy! Especially if you've been to the last lot. My Dad gets a bit like that as he races a variety of cars at Brands Hatch but its nearly always, ALWAYS raining!!
Hello Peeps, I am still alive!!!! Came back to work yesterday and here now!!! Just had a nose on the just giving page and its at £1710.00!!!! not bad going eh?
Back a lot better now, still painful but at least I can move and actually get in and out the car to go see La Ginge!!!
Hope everyone is well and the lurgies seem to be going????
