good morning, all dull and drizzly in shropshire this morning after seeing my snoopy at the stud yesterday i,m still buzzing that everthing is still looking good. She is 29 days pregnant today so will be coming home very soon, did,nt realise how much i would miss the old bag i don,t get the feeling she will mind being off work she as adapted to field life like a pro!
 
Morning All. It's FRIDAY!!!! Am out and about today with work. Yipee! Taking friends pony to WH comp on Saturday - then going to pleasure ride on Sunday. May try le Trec with my big fat cob. Cantering slowly - no prob. Walking quickly mmmmmm.....

morning! well after test drive yesterday I decided I could finally drive myself to work this morning to discover that they have closed 30 miles of motorway as someone has knocked down a electricity pole so they need a new one. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bristol/8310030.stm

I dont use the M5 but the A38 which runs parallel, its stationary so back home again and try again later

I'm still sat on sofa and still not dressed. Oops. My get up and go appears to have got up and gone (hopefully not for good and it will be back... soon!).

Have decided that I am sooooooo fat and unfit that I need shooting. Also, have given up chocolate for four weeks - again. Managed it last time, but this time I'm starting in a grump

Morning all. Missed the last couple of sweet FAs as I've been on Myers Briggs training. The post on Parelli made me laugh, all a bit too familiar!

Really can't wait for the weekend, supposed to be great weather and I have an early 2 hour hack planned for Sunday :-D

I'm currently waiting for the vet to call and tell me what time he is arriving today to see the hoss.... I should have been called yesterday, but apparantly they still don't know when he will be here?!?
Hence, I'm putting off the laundry, vacuuming etc etc. and just sitting with a cup of tea willing the phone to go......

Afternoon everyone. Systems went down big time yesterday so I've been busy working through the backlog. Only just got on here now but I'll have to get off again otherwise I'll be on all afternoon and won't get anything else done, which is a big no-no today.

Gonna have a half hour ride tonight cos I feel guilty that I haven't ridden since Sunday (I think anyway), though tbh I don't think Belle really minds. Hacking out with a friend this weekend anyway so that should make up for it.
 
hello she said waving feebly. Still feel rough I havent got a temp so its not Pig Flu so I think I have Ferret Itis. Thats becuase my mouth tastes like a ferrets sweaty underpants.

Well to add to my splendid week my yard is having gas central heating installed in the classrooms and offices etc . Apparently they have been costing it out for 6 months but obviously not planning it so much.

So far dug through drain outside my stable (yipee I get a new one). Also dug through a power cable and a water pipe.

So picture this on a busy stable yard :

My stable is one of a pair at top of yard trench goes from main gate and goes past stable at an angle. Plenty room to get his nibs and neighbour out safely however...

To get to fields arenas etc we have to turn right outside his stable and through a pedestrian gate into Car park.

Cross massive Car Park bouncing like Tigger round back of barn across two fields and then to his field.

Ordinarily we would turn left down yard to field but thats where the trench runs.

The pedestrian gate is padlocked and has a barrier around it of red and white tape to stop joe Public wandering through as its a Health and Safety Issue.

So here I am with a bad case of ferret-itis and I have lost my voice. The first time I had to do this it was bringing him in as this had all occurred when he was out.

I was stuck in a Bl@@dy great car park with 17hh of vertical Tigger on the end of a lead rope trying to untangle the red and white tape because those that had put it in place had thought of keeping Joe Public out but not making it easy for me to get my horse in. I couldnt shout for help I could only whisper as I have lost my voice.

Still I suppose I shall just have to see it as obstacle training.

(I did leave him a big tub of water from my trailer container). Needless to say this morning he was stood happily in his stable cool as a cucumber with water and electric and gazing across the melle that is gas supply installation.

Do you think they will put underfloor heating under my rubber matting??
 
The bit outside my stable has barriers and tape (at least it did this morning. ) It is dug into 10 inches of concrete and I believe he would step over it but if he didnt heaven only knows what he would do to his legs.

At least he is now used to Jcbs diggers and rattling tape.
