Hi all,

Just wanted to drop you in a quick line today. Funeral was this morning and it went well. It was very apt for Kris and I am really glad it is over - in a strange way I have felt a weight really lift off my shoulders today. There was a lot about it in the press yesterday which was difficult - the Sun sensationalising it - have they no respect?

The car arrived with al the boys following it - as per request from his parents, music blaring, loud exhaust - boy racer even to his funeral! Some may think that is disrespectful but Kris would have loved it.

My brother carried his coffin adn managed very well. There were lots of lovely things said bu the minister, some great stories that made us laugh and cry. My brothers story was read too and I felt really proud of him.

I have neer seen such a busy funeral, they room was full, people standing down all the isles, at the back and out into the carpark. The music was very apt - really summed him up.

Kris is God's DJ now and I am sure he will keep the decks spinning up there.

Thanks to you all for being here for me. I'm going out with some friends to raise a glass to him but I do feel so much better for today.

I am forcing myself to ride tonight, I know that sounds awful but it's my later night at work and by the time I get there it'll already be dark and I'll be tired and miserable and won't want to, but OH has strict instructions to force me if I try to get out of it, and I know once I'm tacked up I'll love it. Just doing half an hour, a little jumping practice cos thanks to the brill ideas from people on here I can do some great jumping exercises in a tiny school.
 
OMG!!! Just got a text from my friend saying she had her baby last night! Mother and daughter both fine but knackered. I just phoned her and heard the baby crying, it sounds so surreal hearing a baby with my friend's voice! I'm absolutely gushing! Bear in mind I'm the least baby-ish person you could ever meet, but I'm so happy for them!

Gush gush.

Got home and went straight out for a ride on the BGL!! The sad news yesterday has made me think that life is just to short so am going to make the most of everyday as and when I can!! So priorities are riding and walking the mutts - not housework

Good evening all still buzzing from my snogging session last night!! And i have measured the n/f tonight and was shocked that he is 14.1hh and he was only 3 in june so hope he does not go over the 14.2 or he will be over height. Would not be usually that bothered about it but i am very proud of my boy and i really wanted a nice 14hh er dam i might have to take him back to tesco,s and demand a refund.
