ok, well this is one of us when I first got her, and even jumping this terrified me
then this was us in our lesson the other day.
I have had her nearly 6 months now, and thanks to my wonderful instructor things are starting to click now. I know my position is appauling in the second photo but I was just pleased to get over.
she is a 15hh registered welshie btw.
CC welcome. sorry if they are huge!
Don't worry C my jumping is even worse!! I had to have a neck strap yesterday as I don't give enough with my hands, but we were doing a bounce, bounce, bounce, 1 stride, 1 stride (I didn't like jumping much but getting into it again now)
I'm better/enjoy it more on my own pony and if you want to know my faults when riding.. well where to start! Worst is I poke my toes out badly and tends to mean I grip with my knees
I also have a weaker left hand (I broke my ring finger so tends to be a disadvantage when half halting)
I'll get f_s to video me sometime if she can work out the camera! Haha!
P_P dont worry, I quite often jump with a neck strap, as it makes me feel a little more at easy, and my toes ALWAYS stick out! lol
DL, please dont steal her, I'd not be able to keep myself sane without her to cheer me up/make me laugh/calm me down or just to be there to listen to me babble or cry on her!
I was in a foul mood tonight but one look at Darcy cramming every last part of his nose into the bars of his lickit had me giggling quietly to myself for about half an hour
That and him squealing hysterically at me appearing at his door with his bucket..
Mine always raise a smile, even if they are laughing at me!!
I'll let you into a secret, today I decided I needed to check Secret's rug, make sure she was warm, not leaking etc, so I climbed through the fence.
She was eating, paying no attention to me, so I did the checks, then decided I'd climb through the fence again, except.... I got my foot stuck, fell backwards, and ended up in a huge pile of sh*t!!!
She actually stopped eating, to look at me, as if to say, "what the bl**dy hell are you doing down there?"
I almost snotted on a college horse the other week! Stopped dead on me, I've so far managed to fling myself back on at the last minute of the dirty stops!
My mare loves attention, would love the hugs etc but she acts like she doesn't.. and if you dare try kiss her nose or pull her mane she gets in a right little huff! But I laugh at her
