Sweet FA ...Monday!!

Uum well this one was always in the pipe but my CV I think was more of a general thing as the work I have at the yard where I keep Darcy just isn't working! Some weeks I'll only earn £50 all together! And thats when they pay me on time..

So, it'll be nice to have something a bit more regular so I can forecast where all my money needs to go

My CV however is still sat , unfinished on the other computer, collecting "dust!"
 
At the moment its 16-20 hours which with the work from the yard too would be enough to keep little old me afloat!

The pay is quite good per hour too , but I think they give you all the technical details etc at the interview.

Also, to go TOTALLY off topic - there was a dove at the yard tonight and it had a very, very poorly eye. It was crusted over with blood which I dabbed off with some cotton wool and water, but the rest almost looked like it had sealed over . It looked a bit like a blood blister

Its perfectly fine in all other respects. It can sort of fly - but it seems to not like too as it lands quickly. Its wings etc are all okay and it reacts to light changes in its bad eye.

What would you do?! The vets weren't interested , and I couldn't kill it.. I've left him in a stable tonight where he'll be nice and warm and can be left alone for a bit and I hope he's okay in the morning.
 
Would have done the same as you did - leave it to recuperate. Give it something to eat - some mix or oats or something and as long as it can fly away when it wants it probably will. We often have racing pigeons who stop off here for a couple of days - we just feed them and they go when they are ready.
 
silky thanks for asking my friend is doing ok although got staples of on saturday and wound dehissed grr. still waiting on lab reports as it turns out she had cervical and ovairian cancer. the lab report will deterin what chemo she gets. hoping to get her to go out on wednesday for my birthday but we will see.

right well all horses are fed and watered. just finished writing up list of horse feed and routine etc 2 pages of it!!!

just having some babysham and lemonade.

then i will have a nice bath.

have bandaged his leg for tonight will see if it stays up in the morning havnt done bandages in a while.
 
she was measured at 13h3 last week.plan is to keep her and she will hopefully be one of my bsja showjumpers lol. well she is bred to. going to do a little bit of in hand showing next year as long as she grows in proportion as not take an ugly yearling out in public hehe. although could have killed her today as she didn't need her mother and refused to come out the field. took 3 of us to get her and her mum in for vet coming to scan and vaccinate/microchip her

Hey all - I really am arriving and crumpling into a heap - been at PC Camp since 8am this morning!!!! Immediately followed by baby sitting my wonderful 3 month old niece straight into riding Padster - where we had an exciting moment with a deer jumping into our path! So I have literally walked in 5 mins ago - wine already open - anyone for a glass?

she defenitaly can't be called a little minx any more. darcy we now recon she will be about 17h. so a big girly. she will be getting no hard feed in the winter just some chaff with multiuvitiam as she is a high risk for osd becuase she is a big girl. hi sv have a nice chill out a nice glass of wine
