I hoped so!! But I think he was a little insulted perhaps
He was only called Mr Darcy because of "Mr," staying in place, and the night before we went to look at him my instructor had a dream that I bought a dun (sigh!!) called Mr Darcy. And, well - he wasn't clean! Nearish dun???
I was going to ask you all something - do you think Nixon needs a 'show' name - I am going to enter him in the stressage at the end of Sept - in his passport he is called Lincweel Nixon which is obviously crap - so do you think I should just stick to Nixon or can any of you come up with something better?? Its that or the Big Grey Lump!!!
I think its from his original competition home - something to do with their yard/stable names. He is from Germany but he was sold with his dad as a yearling - as his dad had jumped the fence at the stud
......anyhoo no proper papers as they weren't amused and only 'do' planned foals so Nixon came to England with his dad - a sort of buy one get one free
!! Suffice to say if he had proper papers he wouldn't be here as I wouldn't be able to afford a hoof.....
What about something a bit unrelated to his name? My friend has a horse that is renound for jumping out of his paddocks - his show name is Catch Me If You Can
slinky, I would like to report that I have been in Italy for 5 hours, and have had 4 different flavours of icecream, AND proper pizza... I think I'm doing quite well!
