One Year Owniversary today ) ) celebrated by rearing and leaping into a hedge, and then bolting out of control down a hill into a cornfield where we proceeded to come to a very abrupt stop and i NEARLY came off.

well went to show to watch my friend, and silly girl that loaned my cob was there friend was saying things just annoyed me. basically i took him back coz she wasnt looking after him properly but her and her mother think they have done nothing wrong.

I must just tell you, that we have a swarm of wasps over our yard today!!! Eeeek!!!! Thankfully, horses are out in the fields!!

yeah he is now with me, and found a lovely lady to loan him out soon altho lil bit apprenhensive about loaning him again.

It's been really hot here today, and I'm shattered!!! Daughter and friend rode (blooming hottest time of the day!!

) and I ran round like a good groom!!!

They enjoyed themselves, so I suppose that's all that matters! My mare may think otherwise, she was disgusted at having to do something!!!

You have been good being a groom - take your mare a cross so she can nail herself to it like the martyr she clearly is......

DL - a change of bit is probably all you need. I had that with Inca for a while - popped in a Cheltenham gag for a while (only needed to use both reins about twice) and we are back to a nice little hanging cheek!!!

You just need the confidence that you can stop and that you are in control - they soon get bored of it!!

Slinky - believe me I'd nail that mare to the cross myself some days!!! She is as good as gold, but, for some reason, always plays up with my daughter!!

Its something to do with when i had an Equine Touch massage done on him etc, he came up covered in lumps where every finger print was ..and no one to this day knows why!

So i think by getting it in the magazines etc is a way of trying to figure out exactly what's up with him ! The only answer atm is poor circulation/build up of lactic acid

Meh! It doesn't seem to be affecting him whatever is is.

Only trouble is , its YO that wrote it ..who dislikes Darce a fair bit, so im a bit anxious about what's been written!

I am riding first thing - going to sit on my mare for the first time after her little wobble last week - seems totally sound and full of herslef - so it could be lively.....and then at lunchtime I'm off to the hunt kennels (in next village) as its their open day and I'll get to cuddle hound puppies - yey!!

I'm going to......clean????!!!! well I have to do some sometime!! and then horses. Maybe later in the evening if it's going to be as hot as it's been today, and I'm a bit concerned about those swarming wasps!!!

F_s it must be the time of year for wasps to move as someone had a problem with a swarm today at their back door and it was open at the time.
Had to get a local beekeeper to move them
