I'm still in PJ's lol Have fed round but not poo-picked yet though. Once I've sorted the boys new fatty paddock (they're having a whole extra foot of field lol and hubby's home I'm taking Voguey out for a hack then I suppose I shall be cleaning up for my in-laws imminent arrival.
The highlight of my day is putting up the new washing line and trying out my new clothes pegs how bad is that!!
Just leaving now to go to yard and ride/lunge horse will decide when I get there due to wind, then i will feed pony. Then meeting some friends for lunch and going to see take that tonight, getting excited already.
- went out to feed at 8.30 and have just sat down!!
Have helped my friend get on her stupid (not so young) youngster, then helped my neices with their ponies and practise their walk and trot test etc for the yard show next week, then walked the dogs with another friend and finally put the old boy back into his paddock.
So lunch, waiting to see if I win a jacket I'm bidding on on ebay (finishes in about 20mins) and then out to ride my two - finally!!! Just sitting under a big dark cloud right now......
Hey all - just in from Paddy's first SJ comp and we were 3rd in the 2ft 3 class!!! He was a wee star and I should defo have done the bigger class! Here is a little piccie - took us ages to get him to stand still for a half a second! lol!!
Why I am looking so serious I'm not entirely sure!
i mean ive done a few things, rode this morning and just ended up up getting more and more frustrated that poor neddy didnt know what the hell i was asking her to do with my crap signals
then went and bought more paint for jumps, had lunch, cleaned static van ready for next lodgers.
done abit of painting, fed neds and not done much since
Afternoon ladies...(you are all ladies aren't you?!!!)
Had a lovely ride with daughter this morning even though cobbie decided a newly mown piece of grass was a cobbie eating monster and totally froze to the point that I had to get off and lead him!!
He didn't notice the tractor and trailer that passed us a bit later on
We were also passed by a bad mannered lady rider on a bay who trotted on as soon as she'd passed us without asking or warning us. Cobbie didn't even notice but daughters horse couldn't understand why we weren't following and started jogging on the spot, threw in a couple of bucks and generally pratted about till she were out of sight...grrrrr
Hey all back again - fingers crossed F_S that this could be a sale!!!
ldlp - sounds like u've had a busy day - don't woryy, sometimes schooling just has a poop day - I have many of them!
MrsM - u sound decidedly chilled!
Just looked back at that piccie and Paddy's fetlock boots have ridden right up - me thinks I'll have to have a wee look at them!
MM...Unfortunately I was too busy making sure Benji didn't deposit daughter on the road but I saw where she was headed and I'll have my eye out for her in future.
Sad isn't it when the worst obstacle on the road is a fellow rider?!!
Lol Mrs M that is a round up. No piccies as I forgot the camera - doh!!! But I must say he really was great and popped the jumps like they weren't really there - everyne said he was way needing more of a challenge - so next time that's what we'll go for.
Girl really liked the pony, but...there's always a but
I was suggesting that she loaned her, keeping her on our yard for a maximum of six months! mainly because she doesn't have much experience and could do with some support. After this, I would give her first refusal on the pony ( I really do want to sell her) but, at the price agreed at the beginning of the loan
. That took so long I do think it has a beard on it!!!!
Anyway, they have gone away to think about it!
So maybe not, I'll have to wait and see. Thing is, she asked if she could ride her again, and although she is lovely, I don't want to give free rides and lessons on my horses
Please tell me I'm not being unreasonable, and sorry for hi jacking the post!!!
I just rode my girlie in the school - first time since she had her 'wobble' a fortnight a go and she was such a good girl!! She was really forward (always is!!) and was bending nicely and we even managed to get all the way through the walk and trot test doing passable serpentines!!! Yey for my Inca!!!!
MrsM - here is link to the jacket - what do we think?
