I'm too angry.... just got a letter from the student loans company saying they "overpaid" by £170! My Loan didn't even cover my rent as it was! How do they expect you to study 40hrs a week (which yours supposed to like a full time job) and have nothing to acctually live on! The SLC must be the worst run organisation on the planet. I don't know a single person who hasn't had issues with them. Bloody hell they're going to be getting a gob full monday morning. I know I shouldn't yell at the unfortuante bloke who answers the phone but it's going to happen. Being reasonable doesn't seem to work
- and then time to ride and hopefully get it done before the rain comes
!! After that I'm off ot the local tack shop for its open day - free BBQ and chance to win either Ariats or a new bridle - got to be worth a shot after all the ££££££'s I spend in there!! Then its off to the pub for a quick drink with one of the girls who is leaving the yard - what the rest of you up too???
. Was going to say have done some work, but that would come across the wrong way
.
Trying to stick head, body and soul back together - I think it may be in for the long haul. I need a handbook
Ah well, onwards and sidewards
E - sorry to hear you're having a load of cr*p. Work on the basis that they're all jobsworths and everything will be cack, that way when something good does happen it's an unexpected bonus
. Hugs.
Slinks - good luck in the draw thingy
.
S_V - a good day m'thinks, have fun
.
S - you're a cheeky mare (knew there was a reason I like you
I've been up ages...just sat down. I've been out and fed the ponies at home. Holly is in as she is threatening laminitis at the drop of a hat this year
Luckily I check her pulses everyday so am on the ball but its still depressing. She is on my starvation track/soaked hay regime whereby my lami pony is like a greyhound and lami free and my other two are perfect weights and she is still getting pulses so she's in now till the pulses stop and I can get her back into work. I think perhaps the farrier over did the trim this time which won't helped! Ho hum...sure she'll be back on track in no time
I've also been up the road to feed my other two and Samstars two. All good up there
Benji was being a wuss as there were three drops of rain the air so he couldn't open his eyes or walk in a straight line
If it doesn't rain too hard I'll be moving the shetties, foals and the stallion to their new paddock
It is in November - HOYS is October - so no probs!!
Just having another cuppa before getting the coblet in to do some work - she had her paddock extended by 3 baldes of grass yesterday so doesn't want to leave it in case the fence gets moved back!!!
They have given a horrible evening so have changed my mind on going out on the scat, have decided instead to stay in with my son and have a yummy chinese instead
*Yawns.* Hi All! Have had the longest day in the history of long days. Went with my friend to a combined training and she was totally robbed in her dressage, they gave her three 0's for missing out a move, when she did all 3
Very harsh and there were some AWFUL tests that included kicking over beloved flower pots, forgetting the tests 3 times etc etc..anywho - will say no more on that.
Then got Duddle in for a quick "school," in the XC field and we took him over the bigger ones
Then we had a mass argument over this plank thing but I got him over it after a good battle
Then, we attempted to go over the one he'd been trotting past all this time and he was an a-hole. After an epic battle he went over them three times quietly, went around to have a pop over it for the last time and he did a dirty stop and queue DL flying solo
Little buggar.
Needless to say, when caught we went over it again quietly. He said "Bored of this one now, I realise its not that scary."
Now struggling to keep my eyes open!!
DL sounds like he is ready for his jumping at camp now!! Hope you don't ache to much - have a nice warm bath and an early night - that should sort you out!!
samstar - what are you washing the chinese down with??
Right off out to play with my neds in a bit - had a cider at the pub and feel plastered so may not ride.............
D_L you must stop practicing these trick stunts!!!
Hope you are ok, and not feeling too sore!!! Horses...who'd have them eh?
So, I've had a long day too, but not too bad!! Had my second induction, and have to go in on Monday for some training, but it's not all day, so should be ok!!
Waiting to hear some news on my Dad, but probably won't get any until Monday, just hope that he's ok, and that they can sort him out!!
Little shetland is brighter today, but still not good enough for me, so, he's confined to barracks until I'm really satisfied that he's fine!! The grass is growing like mad here, as we have a
then
so it's
weather!!!
Hope everyone else has had a good day!!
Slinky - that diet means you can only have one drink now before you fall
Just the one cut to my pinkie and a bit of a dead arm haha. He's such a buggar because he gets right on top of them , and sort of takes off but then mid-air will spin. Its fine in walk which we're doing at the moment every so often to teach him he can't bolt before/ after but in trot/ canter its a little daunting
It's a work in progress - always knew it would be our biggest challenge so hey-ho. I'll just be ebaying the velcro jods in future!
Hope your Dad's okay too , I'm sure there will be something they can do for him
Glad shettie is a bit better too. Don't talk to me about grass- I've been given the responsibility of grazing off this huge field and as its too long i'm putting it off - but it'll just get longer..and longer...
Well I'm back - have tried all the new rugs and saddlecloths on the appropriate neds - all fit really well!! Have washed my white saddlecloths so they are ready for are next classes - and also picked a schedule for my next stressage - not until September so gives me time to work on it!! Would go sooner but no transport at the moment and we can hack to the yard where they are doing that one.
Tried on the new Ariats at the saddlery - very nice so fingers crossed I win them or the new Albion bridle in the prize draw!! Still I did get sent a £25 voucher for Tesco's from Sky today so it maybe my lucky day!!
f_s - glad it went well today!!
Am thinking I have taken a brave pill
as I am planning on going out alone on my boy tomorrow morning - and maybe even do a little canter - EEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!!
I had one of those random "brave days," and it did me the world of good because it wasn't as bad as I thought, and neither me or Darce have really looks back since.
I feel I should hack him tomorrow because he's not been on one all week - but i'm addicted to schooling at the moment
I did indeed. I'm doing nothing but I'm waiting on my friend to get her work-time table as she desperatley wants to come. She won't know until her next "Term," so to speak , so I may end up buying the tickets on the door
