SWEET FA .......Saturday

Woop! I can't wait, I've been dying to go all year!

And if either of your horses could teach Darcy how to be sane, i'll be gate-crashing too!

Darcy was in just a flash to make life a bit easier, though he could really go without. But hacking wise when he "takes hold," i'd rather change his noseband in a way than his bit because he's got a mouth like butter

Eeee, shopping!! Easily the most fun part about these events because everythings so cheap! I got a bargain at Hickstead, a heavy weight combo for £20

I put it on at 7 'o'clock , and when I returned at 11am a horse next door had pulled the neck off which was zip on, and chewed it to pieces, and then chewed the zip off my rug

Don't panic f_s ! They're involved in keeping everything constant in the body which naturally will cause blood to clot. If the count of them is too low, its like if you cut yourself for example there might be more bleeding than normal as the blood can't clot. Then if theres too high a count, it'll cause the blood to clot etc.
Do you know if he's got a low/ high count? x

f_s I've had those injections. I have a blood clotting issue, it clots too easily (Factor IV Lieden). The injections aren't too bad hun. I had a course of Warfarin for a few months as well.

Hugs hunny.

Phew!!! Thanks guys....just to try and explain what I've been told.

They are injecting him in his stomach to thin his blood, something about it clotting too much. Now, Dad is on a lot of medication, and I think they are concerned about the methatrixate he takes. Also, they have x rayed his lungs and think he might have some fluid on them. Apparently, his heart is ok...so that's something!!! He blacked out and had a funny turn yesterday, so it started all this, and said he felt detached and not with it!!!

Thank you D_L, Slinky and Mrs M, you guys are brilliant. At least I feel I understand it a little better!!

He's been on methatrixate for years, yes, for arthritis, and he's got osteoparothis (sp) at the top of his spine. Poor Dad is often in a lot of pain!!
