SWEET FA .......Saturday

Ok well that would help explain his symptoms. They are common side effects of the use of methotrexate - as is osteoporosis sadly. Still nothing they can't put right now he is in hospital - just need to tweak his meds. So no need to panic.
(although I know you will worry anyway!)

Large glass of wine methinks.

hi there f.s the injections they are giving your dad is called clexine it is to thin the blood and to prevent it from clotting. in the hospital it is given to patients routinly who are on bed rest as you are a higher risk to a blood clot when you are immobile. hope this help as i am a nurseit could also be because of your dads drugs he is already on. they will do some routine tests to get to the bottom of the problem going with what you have said he may well of had a transit ischemic attack (TIA) which is caused by a minor bleed in the brain. these attackes are quite comman and can be caused by the blood being to thick causing a clot but totally fixable

Thank you tikino, I really appreciate that, it's great to get all this as Mum is hopeless at explaining it all. Think she's worried so it all goes over her head a bit, and I'm stumped when it comes to anything remotely human and medical!!! Everyone has been brilliant.
