Hi all, I've come in rather merry and you have all gone to bed so I thought I would start Saturday's post seeing as I am usually not about in the mornings.

Hope you are well - Mrs M you need to empty your PM's. I'm away to our house in Mull until Monday so if I'm not on much that's why.

Morning all!!!

Well Genie's being clipped today.... taking the lot off apart from legs, patch on her back and half her head (may take all her head...). Do you think I'd be mean if I turned her out tonight with just a lightweight on? She's a tough old bird and has plenty of blubber (she's not fat, but a bit over what I'd like her to be).

Got family visiting this afternoon and overnight so I get to look after one of my GORGEOUS nephews while my sister and brother-in-law take the older one into town to see We Will Rock You. They're treating me to lunch tomorrow as well! The boys ADORE Genie so no doubt there will be trips up to the yard....

Morning all - I am off to work to earn Ted's keep, followed by a lesson which I can't wait for and then helping my mate set up for her 25th, then back to work and then I have an hour to get ready before the celebrations begin tonight - we have to wear dresses and look glamourus - hmmm that might take more than hour!!!

Well, half an hour to go before I make my statement ! Then i can get on with my day: need to clean my tack , clean everything come to the matter - plait, take my sister to work, walk the dog, learn my test... the list goes on!!

am having a hour on here til i go give archies stable a full clean out hes a mucky sod!

had such a weird dream last night, my sister and her friend who was supposed to be pregnant but wasnt? were tring to kill me, so i tried to hide in house in my room but it had so many bedrooms didnt know which one was mine til i found one with my name above door so hid in there and they came in house as couldnt find me outside but they seen me then i woke up, they eyes were so scary

Afternoon everyone. Ben out for a 2hr hack this morning. Normall takes an hour but we were having a nappy day. Got there in the end, after a few arguments and stopping the traffic a couple of times! And I had to get off and lead some of the road as it was too dangerous to be going backwards and in circles. But I got back on and we got to where I wanted to go, had a lovely canter, much more forward going than I usually get when we're out on our own, then jogged all ther way home. The trick of walking them backwards the way you want them to go is brilliant, my schooling whip just makes her buck but going backwards really annoys her, then she almost trots when I let her go forwards (the way I want to go).

It's boiling here so she was really sweaty when we got home, she was so knackered she didn't even kick up a fuss when I poured a bucket of water over her. She obviously enjoyed it though, depsite the arguments, cos she had a good roll and a canter across her paddock when I turned her out.

. Watched daughter ride Little Cob - she jumped the highest course she's ever done on him and he did really well (though was kn*ckered afterwards lol), she jumped Big Cob as well and they had fun

. Now she's on Friend's daughter's pony. The pony is an absolute hoot and her young owner is doing brilliantly with her: my Daughter gets on her when things get just a bit too hairy for Friend to cope with seeing her daughter on (though think her daughter would probably handle okay, 'tis better not to scare the b'jeeburs out of her lol). Daughter loves it and grins like a hyena.

I picked up Daughter's Birthday pressie this afternoon (thank you Claire at Risley Embroidary

Wish head was in gear as things to do. As it is have been sat on a sofa most of the afternoon.

Am trying not to stress about Daughter riding Dizzy tomorrow morning....

well walked the xc course and had lots of scary jumps ie house, flower bed, one with holes in etc so decided not going to do it, might be going xc schooling next week instead.

did want to go up on hills tomoz but OH has decided we are too busy doing cider stuff, cleaning all equipment etc to go

Hi all, telly just about worked through red button coverage after requiring 5 hits at start! but have reminded parents they were buying one for my bday (august!) think am off to do one armed showing entries tommorrow but have told them I will require a taxi service

well someone (daft mountain biker has broken most bits and is a typical stick arm out break) has mentioned 4 weeks to me if its what he thinks. only 4 weeks would be fab. am hopeful that as they have made me wait a week with a temp cast I am lower priority because its not bad.

Beats the head thing. Four weeks left of no drivng and up to ten weeks left of no riding. When head is back in gear will no doubt sulk more, at the moment really can't be faffed

Evening everyone!!

Am in a heap on the sofa - have ridden the coblet and extended her paddock! Neice and I rode her and both of us cantered her a fair bit (rode through the broncs and the bucks!

) and she was going nicely but really need to work on her fitness as it will be easier - mind you if she hadn't been pulling like a train it would have been easier anyway!!

As I took her dinner out Max got a bit close and had a warning kick - nothing damaged or broken so hopefully he has learned his lesson - have given him some arnica just in case she made contact and he is bruised
