Ugh, morning!

I got woken up at 5am my little nephew who has yet to adjust to daylight saving... Had snuggles until 6am when he persuaded me it was time to get up.

Off in a bit to hunter trial, so hoping it will go well! Hope everyone has a good day!!!

Ive been awake most of the night but refused to get up til 6am. Bloody hot flushes!!!!

I have my last 12 hour day shift today then 2 days off. Been more like 14 hour busy shifts all week and I am knackered! Then nights next week- urghhhhh!!!!
Also have a tooth absess under my molar which has also given me such a sore throat- so I am feeling rather under the weather.
Roll on my days off
 
Hope everyone has a great day. I am moving stables today. staying at the same yard just moving to another stable block as need a bigger stable. Its a hell of a lot of work as I have very heavy rubber matting and oh so much stuff!! But will be worth it for Jake to have more room.
I am hoping too that he won't be so awful to muck out in a bigger stable PLEASE!!!

Good Luck Fihunt, you always seem to be doing something exciting.

my day so far has consisted of drinking tea and keeping small people quiet as hubby worked a late shift last night and left me to deal with the invasion of mice into my bedroom all by myself (when i say 'deal with' i mean hide under the duvet, and let out the occasional sob). the joys of being married to a policeman. not.

i am going to look into getting raff a Saddle Company saddle, so will hunt for a local fitter... or find someone else that lives near me who wants one so i can share the callout for CBAngelo on here cos she fits them.

i left the horses out last night with their stable doors open so they could get back in, to test my theory that raff prefers stable to being out, and sure enough, he spent the night in his stable whilst Iggle stayed out.

righty ho, i'd better go and do some *ergh* housework. got a man coming to look at my lorry later to tell me how bad it is... fingers crossed it's merely a loose wire and easily fixed (highly doubtful!).

so went back to good side all fine til i went on chest and slightly too far other side so cue a kick which hit gate, which scared horse who ran round in circle over cord!!!

so left it at that before one of us got hurt so guess im back to square -1000!

i then lost my temper (have a short fuse trying to work on it!) with her and shouted at her because she wouldnt walk forward for me to put clippers in tack room!!

Just been out to give the horses some hay.

I've had my last lie in for a while as my next job is to sort the stables out so I can get them in tonight. There is huge fireworks display locally tonight and tomorrow night and need them safely tucked up in their stables

Then no doubt the flippin fireworks will carry on for the next week or so.

Morning all

Today I am a Saint. Yard is very busy and too many staff on holiday so after doing my horsey I rugged up the other three liveries and turned them out together they are Part Livery and I am DIY).

Weather forecast for tomorrow is terrible.
Had a whoo hoo moment yesterday we are learning leg yield at bloomin last!

Fihunt a bit late to say but enjoy Castle Farm its a lovely course proper cross country not just riding around a field in a circle.

Claracluck you need some of my lovely tablets.

Must go now I have to muck out the house it is officially a tip.
Fortunatly my studio in the garden has had the windows cleaned and the paving swept and my stable has an immaculate swept floor 3 tidy banks and a neat little pile of haylage for when his maj comes in.

Priorities huh!!

Am tucked up under blankets on the sofa drinking honey and lemon and mainlining paracetamol. have given the mutts a huuuuuge bone each so they will leave me alone and the neds have been fed but I dont think I'll be riding today as the thought alone hurts.......

evening all so busy!! had lesson on share horse last night from owner. loved it! just getting ready for halloween party woooop

ted was absolutely amazing today! we warmed up as usual - long and low (still trying to encourage him to strech) but have also starte bringing him "up" more (aturally he's very uphill so it's not too har, but it' difficult trying to stop him fixing! and also me fixing

) anyway did lots of transitions - everything spot on, bar our downward transition from walk to trot - but it's getting better! thought today we'd concentrate on leg yielding - turns out i didn't have to concentrate too much - he was a pro! so did some canter work - shortening lengthening - he started off by falling onto his forehand when asked to lengthen, but he DID NOT GET STRESSED

definitely gone one step forward!! it feels so good! at last our hardwork is paying off!! tomorrow will definitely be a hack and chill day!
