Sorry - I've got to quiz you all quickly!

Darcy suffers really badly with field mites and one came up and scabbed on his foot, just above his coronet band and a few days before that it came up in a hard lump - I think. Could this be from a field mite that's gone a bit nasty? It looks bigger in the photo than it actually is and is a hard, solid lump. Not on his other foot . Not warm, sore , lame etc etc. Just there! I panicked at first because I thought he had a bone coming through haha - tell me i'm crazy!

Haha this is Darcy we're talking about..ANYTHING is possible!

And if you can see the sort of yellow-ish bit on top? In the centre of that is where the field-mite's bite is. It was quite a bad one. Im 99% sure its from that as its not on his other foot etc but you have no idea how paranoid I get at the moment with people complaining his "conformation," will ruin him.

If it's got a yellow bit, sounds like an infected bite, and I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on it and keep it clean.

What's this about his "confirmation ruining him" What's that all about??? Sounds like codswallop to me!!!

Nope no hair rubbed away. He gets these small scabs all up his legs to about his hock, and then all under the groove of his chin so I just assumed that it would be field mites as they could get there . I usually frontline spray him which keeps them all at bay but I've just run out.

Oh , and because he's over at the knee by a fraction , and I mean a fraction - He's going to die

Apparently.

And nope -no hair rubbed away just these small crusty scabs.

I don't think its mites - I think its just a common or garden bite - he has probably scratched with the other hoof which is why there is the scabby bit.

Ah sorry - being slow tonight. See what you're all saying - This makes sence

Well I mucked out 6 horses, had a lesson on my boy(In the process of backing him) and he managed a little trot with me onboard, then went out on daughters loan pony for a little hack. A good day all in all

Whoever told you that being slightly over at the knee was going to kill him, needs their head looked at!! What a load of rubbish, I hope you didn't tell Darcy that. He would have

This is going back about 4 months but I get paranoid and hang onto comments for far too long. Im getting better though

I used to have to muck out 4 shavings bed's that were deep littered for a week etc and by the end of the day I'd vow to chuck it all in. But then the money kept Darcy fed so I slogged on . If only they knew
