I had exmoor garlic mushrooms on a pesto toast for starters
Main confit of duck on a bed of onion marmalade and for dessert choccy birthday cake which was yummy.
Think my tummy thought it was in heaven last night

Max and Sweep have been for another walk with their friend the lurcher - Max and the lurcher have been charging around in circles so they are both knackered now!!

hi guys im back

just wondered what you thought about me taking archie off box rest 2 days early? dont think it will make a difference in his lameness etc so??

Hey all, back in, have taken some snaps of the boys - i'll put a before and after of Ali on here for you to decided what you think and I'll put the others on PG - will let u know when they are on - need to upload and eat dinner!

Going to see two wee ponies this week - looking for PC for a wee jockey coming off 11.2hh - needs to be fairly hardy - not showy for hacking and PC - here are the two we are going to see - opinions welcome:

This one is further away so think we are going atthe weekend:

Any opinions gratefully taken.

ldlp - I would prob leave him as two days are not long and if he is not quite there you could do more damage - if you are putting him out do it gradually in a smaller area if able
smile.gif

Hello All. How is everyone?

Having a bit of a bleh afternoon
frown.gif

I really got the jumping bug earlier and it always dawns on me that I'll probably never quite get to do it as I want too with Darcy because he has to be taken very slowly , and my confidence doesnt really offer him any help
blush.gif
Not that I mind really....? I do love doing flatwork and hacking with him but It always niggles at me that I'd like to be doing a little bit of jumping . My instructor isn't a jumper herself - and thinks I should leave jumping til' next year which I don't really mind doing but I think even then we'll still have 'issues.'

Sorry
blush.gif
Getting a bit carried away with my thoughts - felt the need to write it down.

Continue as you were
grin.gif

There is an instructor I'd be interested in as they do a lot of gridwork which he really enjoys (and I don't come off when we do that!
smile.gif
) But he's off til next year aswell

Hi everyone!!
grin.gif
grin.gif

S_V there is a definite improvement in Ali, he looks so much better, and the weight is going on slowly which is exactly what you want. His coat looks better, shiny and bright, and I think he's even put on a bit of topline. All in all, a fantastic improvement, give him a big hug from me for being a good boy and eating all his food!!!

Oh, and one for Paddy too, as he's a superstar!!
grin.gif
grin.gif

Idlp - Hi, hope you've had a lovely holiday and are back nice and relaxed!
grin.gif
grin.gif
I think I would leave Archie in until the allotted time, and then gradually introduce him to the grass again. Perhaps 15 minutes to start and then build up. You don't want to wreck all the hard work you've done o get him right!!
grin.gif
grin.gif

D_L - Is confidence your issue when jumping? Can you get a few of you together and build a small course, not high, and just have some fun. Encourage each other and don't take it too seriously. Jumping is all about getting from one side of the fence to the other, preferably with the horse still attached, but it doesn't matter how you do it, or what you look like!!!
grin.gif
grin.gif

ETS - spelling!!!
shocked.gif

I think its definitly confidence on probably my part. He picks up on this and that's when we have trouble really! Although he is pretty spooky - so he takes a fair bit of riding into them which then worries me INCASE he runs out
crazy.gif
So as you can see, it all sort of escalates
blush.gif
blush.gif

And I'd like to do that - but unfortunatly all of our jumps are out in a field at the moment infront of Thing who works in our feed shop . Sounds petty - But I don't really want to give her an oppurtunity to comment. However she'll be gone next monday
grin.gif

Until then, I've got the xc field to have a play in but some of those jumps are scary
blush.gif
I might try though when no one is around
smile.gif

Anywho - having had a bit of a ponder I'm feeling better again
grin.gif

I've only got a little bit of battery left so I'll be off. Have a nice evening everyone!
grin.gif

Evening!! I'm back and offically pooped!!
d045.gif

I rode the BGL this afternoon and he was a star!!
b020.gif
We cantered on both reins and managed proper 20m circles on both reins at B and E as well as at A and C - so a huge improvement from Thursday!! So chuffed with him I gave him an apple!! Sweep and Max are in a heap as they have had 3 walks again today - I work on the policy of a good dog is a tired dog............
b015.gif

S_V - glad patient is better and Ali looks fab! definately moving in the right direction - has filled out and is lovely and shiny too!
a090.gif

ldlp - hope you had a lovely holiday!! I agree with the others I would leave Archie in and re- introduce slowly.
cool.gif

samstar - easy on the cider - hic!!
tongue.gif

Just been looking at the ponies S_V and they all look very nice!

1 - black pony - as an ex RS pony she should have got the tshirt but hopefully hasn't lost her spark

2 - grey pony - looks and sounds just like Grindle, my neices 2nd pony who is an absolute whizz when it comes to sj - goes clear and goes fast!

3 - bay pony - looks like my neices 1st pony who had got the tshirt - hunted,PC,games etc - taught them loads including how to fall!!
a070.gif

i think they all look like good choices, it just depends on which one the jockey likes best!
grin.gif

I like the little black mare, very sweet!!
