Now my jail break pony is in Alcratraz as Slinky recommended!!! I did think about getting my camouflage paint on and lying in wait, but thought that's not very grown up!!! At least that's what the kids said!!!

I've thought about this, and think that if there are any issues you specifically want checked on the pony, then ask the vet to do them.

So, for instance, you could request a two stage, but specify you'd like a check on her feet for laminitis, eyes, for cataracts, so effectively a 2 stage plus vetting!!

The 2 stage will give you the overall picutre and will show up things like a heart murmur, obviousl stiffness - flexion tests, exisitng injuries/scars (splints etc) it obviously does not include xrays and bloods. None of our ponies have ever cost more than £1500 so a 5 stage seemed over the top as they were general ponies to be used at PC, for hacking etc and maybe the odd local show. As I say they are enough to get insurance cover but ti is really down to the prospective owner whether they choose to have the 5 stage. We have always asked them to look at their legs ie flexion tests etc as that is where wear and tear will show.

right i will phone vets tomorrow and insurance company i think just to inform them and get a claim form through ready, does anyone know how to do a insurance claim??

also i guess they'll still pay out if dont get to bottom of it??

Not this time - due to a combination of things I can't get away now - was all getting to complicated so I am staying at home to play with my neds and pooches, spending all 4 days at Burghley and decorating my bedroom (long overdue!!) Felt in need of a holiday as I haven't had a break from work since Easter and as I said to my manager (having had to change holiday dates about 3 times for them) if I don't have some time off I may kill some one.....

Am plotting for a diving holiday in about November (before the worst of winter) and then again in about Feb/March at the end of winter - that one is definatley going to be HOT and tropical - maybe Caribbean or Africa or Maldives.....
