Goooooooood morning!

Sorry not been around much the last few days. Went to pick up my old sharer's new horse yesterday, he seems very sweet. Off with Genie (who is no longer lumpy!) to a riding club rally today! Just flatwork but will be interesting to see how she reacts... we'll either be a plod or a loon!

Hope everyone else is well. Have I missed anything major these last few days?

Morning all

Just woken up from a very rare and delicious lie in

to herald the start of my day off. The sun is shining with a few puffy clouds in the sky, and the air feels crisp.
Hubby is coming home today after his week away working, and I am very much looking forward to his cuddles to wipe away the stress that this week has brought at work.
I am off to the yard soon after my cuppa tea to give the horses some fuss and cuddles and be thankful of the little things in life. Then back home to tidy and prepare dinner for the family.

Just finishing up bacon sandwich and trying not to move too much as small pony can see in through kitchen doors from her paddock and neighs at me to get a move on with her hay everytime I pick up my tea.... Had a slight frost last night so not particularly looking foward to wrapping up and going out and having to poo pick. And no riding for me today - lots of family time (and lunch out - which has its upside ... no cooking yippeeee!)
 
Morning all, weather is sunny don't know how cold though as haven't been out!!! Off to get some rat poison in a minute, as son in law says they have eaten through his metal dog food bin and he would hate to meet the rat that did it!

Might have time to watch the youngsters being ridden today, esp. big fat welsh cob who is going to his first show next month.

Had a power cut this morning just as we started to muck out, so if there's any poo left in it's not our fault

Today is just going to consist of boring uni work, sorting it out, walking the dogs and grooming the horses and dogs. Wanted to go out with OH for tea but don't have time.

Morning,

Quite chilly here today. Horse are having a day off so I'm not riding, just chilling in front of the fire at the moment but I guess I will have to find something to do soon.

Hubby and Friend have taken me out and about for the last five weeks, which is much appreciated, but I want to do it on my own now! *spoilt brattish foot stamping session*. Have a week to go...

Also, trying to do the logo for the new website. Had what I thought was a goody in mind for a couple of weeks; have just tried to get it on papaer and Pah! Pants

Daughter has gone to the yard with Friend. Hubby wants to watch the racing. Am debating getting him to drop me off and then I'll beg a lift home from some kind sole

Have you got a plan in place for when you can start riding again ie lessons booked, lunging for a week or so before hand, others riding her to get her mind back into a work frame of mind??

When her leg is back to normal size, I'll be long lineing(sp!) and Pessoa-ing. When I do get back on it it will be with the MH jacket and the BP lol. So saying, Daughter has been riding her a couple of times and Friend has been on, so she's been more used to it this time than last time

I think (experience of BGL being a silly wb here) Dizz needs to be working as much as possible to engage her 2 brain cells - that way there is less room for being a tit!!

At least with long rein and pessoa and lunging you can vary stuff and do trotting poles and small jumps etc - all good for engaging both muscle and brain!!

mornin all finally caved in and took to my bed today after I had fed and turned out dobbin. Just had a bowl of mushroom soup and now have kitty on bed keeping my legs warm.

Even though I said no to Sunday lunch at parents my dad rang 5 times between 11 and 11.30 OH rang him back when he got in from his Sunday walk and said she;s in bed and HE STILL ASKED IF I WAS COMING TO LUNCH!!

Kitty now using feet as a headrest!
 
Afternoon all, what a lovely day it is, woke up early with bodies outside my bedroom door

Had a shock when I came downstairs

everywhere was nice and tidy and all glasses that weren't smashed were gleaming on the drainer, all I had to do was mop the kitchen and breakfast room floor and hallway.
My cream carpet in lounge is still cream

Have been out over the moors with my son and his new car with L plates on and I can say I was relaxed, only tried to put foot through floor a couple times

took dog with us and gave her a run, then went to the yard and he helped poo pick for me in return, so been a lovely relaxed and chilled day.
Now I've got my joint lamb cooking and I'll either make a peach crumble for afters or just eat the rest of whats left of her over indulgent chocolate cake

Still, not too long now until you're back in the saddle!

Genie was very good at the rally. She was enthusiastic as usual, but within minutes he had improved her canter. Got some exercises to practice which will hopefully get her realising that she can go slower!
