Good morning all, I dont often pop in here but thought I'd say hi today..
After being awake for most of the night my god it threw it down and with a massive rumble of thunder, and the wind was howling away, my thoughts were OMG minnie - but she's all tucked up in bed lol.
Going to go into town today to have a browse and try and get my SS pressie sorted...still have no idea mine is quite tough..
Anyways hope your all going to have a great day too..
i slept sooooo badly. i listed my lorry on ebay last night and now feel pants about it. i'm now thinking if i take the lining out of the roof, and move the partition/living area... maybe raff will fit in better... i hate selling stuff... and i had soooo many hopes for my little lorry... and i feel a bit bad for kicking it every morning for the first week or so... and it feels like we've invested time/worry/money etc now into getting it all fixed up...
can i take the roof lining out? would it be ok with a fibreglass roof instead of a lined one? he is a solid, safe traveller if that makes a difference.
gah, why is my horse such a fat monster?
have a lovely day y'all. i'm off to drag the children outside to help with the mucking out as my poor hubby was 6 hours late off work so only just got home and is trying to sleep...
Well its a lovely day here - blue sky and sunshine!!
Its a bit breezy
but I think we will get get rain later
Anyhoo everything fed - and have let out the robin that was flying around the bedrooms this time!!
- and I am just having brekkie. Sister on her way so we can walk the dogs
then I have the day to ride
and finish my stables - might even do some housework!!
clippy - why don't you spend a bit of time loading him and getting used to it - when its all a bit calmer you may be surprised to find he fits perfectly.
Have been and mucked out this morning and turned madam out. She is STILL very much in season, pleasant creature, and today the yearling was trying to suckle from her (or at least that's what it looked like). One more thing to worry about!
Aching a bit after riding for 3 hours yesterday, but the riding club rally was great albeit wet, so it was worth it.
Clipcloppop, I agree with Slinks, why dont you give him a bit of time in the lorry and see if his views change any?
is it a front or herringbone lorry? if its herringbone could you not alter the angle of the partitions so he is facing more length ways rather than sideways to give him more room?
I wish I had some spare cash, I would snap your arm off, but alas no
Wading through endless washing machine loadsful of dirty horse stuff, his and mine. A week of weather like this and I run out of all my jackets and everything's utterly vile, damp, smelly and muddy. Going to try to put his lightweight through my washing machine later using Nikwax rug wash and then rug proof stuff. Hope it works...
Good day for doing chores when weather so changeable! Hopefully some great black and white old movie on telly somewhere later so I can settle down with cake and tea as a treat for all my hard work!
- it is piddling down here so I got with finishing the stables - they are both nice and clean & empty for the the new bedding when it arrives!
I also had a good tidy up and everything is now sorted for when they start coming in. Also took the mutts for a big walk as they don't mind the rain. Just having a bit of lunch and then having a big bath
- try to prevent the sore stiff back from clearing out 2 big stables!
A doughnut would be lovely if there are any left f_s!! Thankies...
