Morning, it is absolutely chucking down at this moment and I'm hoping it will ease off for the walk to work.
Didn't sleep to well either, so wished last night was a dream

Also need to try and persuade boss to give me Tuesday off so that I can go watch the futurity - the girl who bought my yearling is taking her along so I'd like to go see her.

Other than that, got loads of work to do......

Baby girl is getting along famously - has had some good placings at county level since I sold her so am looking forward to seeing how she's grown

Vets found nothing of any consequence in the older one so I turned her away to let her chill out for a bit. Meant to hear from someone who wants to see her later today but we'll see - I may just end up keeping her

Hi, I'm been watching your posts, thought I might provide some North East perspective if no-one minds? It's rainy here as usual, the weather can't seem to decide if it wants to be nice or horrible, which over the past few weeks has meant emergency trips to the yard to bring my arab in and bed her down for the night instead of leaving her out. Luckily it's warm this morning so she's fine but it's threatening to start a storm. Fingers crossed it stays ok as I'm planning on a long ride tonight.

Yeah that usually happens here too. I think I can be a bit over the top with putting rugs on though, I'm a big softie when it comes to putting her out without one on just in case it rains, but then when I turn her out and she goes off galloping across the field I'm glad I didn't cos then I'd worry about her getting a leg trapped, getting a strap stuck in the fence... I'm just a worry wart!
 
I wish I could be like that but a couple of weeks ago I left her out when it was chucking down and when I went up to get her she was shivering and wouldn't come in cos it was raining so hard and she'd have to turn into it to come in. I had to put her fleece rug on under her stable jacket to try and dry her off, I'm very lucky she didn't have a cold the next day. So now I feel guilty every time it rains and she's out, though if I'm at work there's not a lot I can do if it starts raining. I only have her on part loan at the moment but I'm starting full loan with a view to buy from September so I'm a bit nervous as I've never owned before and I'm wary as to how I'll cope with the early mornings and the time taken up every day but I'm sure it'll be very rewarding, and a few of the DIY liveries offer to help so they'll do a morning and I'll do a morning etc so it's not all hard work
 
It's sunny here for the moment, so I'm going to go potter about the lanes with the pony...also got poo-picking to do, bleh...still, I hope the weather lasts more than five minutes this time!

hi guys

so far today i have poo-picked field and went for a hack with sharer of my cob.
then made a start on getting static ready for guests, done some washing and took dog for a walk.
am now going to go finish caravan.

One of our yard girls has offered her horse for my daughter to help exercise, as she has a young child and doesn't have the time to ride him often and previous friend who did ride him has had her boy broken in so is riding him all the time now

I'm in between cooking tea and bri waxing my kitchen doors so will notibly be on a high soon
