Morning everyone!!!

Well off to have pony vetted this morning!!! will be back later.

Hope everyone has a good day, very windy here, but the rain has stopped, so we have to be grateful for small mercies I suppose!!!

Hope that the rescue of the horses goes well, and goals are achieved and highlighted by their plight!! Poor things!!

Good morning! Hope it goes well!!!

I didn't get to go shopping yesterday :-( So am going today! Drove the box up the yard last night and loaded madam. We had some welsh moments initially, but they were remedied when I showed her that I had carrot and she realised that SHE had to go to IT, and it wouldn't come to her. She was worried about loading in the big box we hire initially, so I'm not too bothered about her being a bit unsure, will just have to make sure I travel her comfortably.... I can see myself CRAWLING to the hunter trial on Saturday, but if it means a happy pony...

I hope everyone else has a good day, and second that about the horses!
 
f_s hope vetting goes well - fingers crossed for you.

Weather is horrific here today - really windy and rainy. Since pony is 'in training' to winter out I'm just ignoring her.....

Got to go to work early today for the first in a serious of tediously boring meetings.......

horses dont they just drive you crazy sometimes, my bloody mare wouldnt go out in field til she'd scoffed this apple which i was arguing with her to stop her eating it so its cleo 1-0 laura

im back from a hair-raising ride altho they tend to be

have fed them and watered etc. now how do you go about cleaning a sheath??

Cat is finished and I have just used a Winergy bag turned inside out and cut up to post off some of my Ebay sales.

Sheath Cleaning is fun but only if you have people who dont understand and have small children watching you

I am not an expert and have been lucky both my lads have been easy to do. Bucket of luke warm water and a sponge. Pair of rubber gloves get some water up there to soften everything and pick off the giant black crunchy gungy bits with your fingers.

You shouldnt mess around with it unless it needs doing but I find I check it regularly and I dont know what it says about me but the Big Pony enjoys it!!

Hi all, just in - Slinks - what is the update on those horses from ast night? 22 pages to read so thought I'd ask u here.

F_S how'd the vetting go?
 
Well, bit of a disappointing day!!! He didn't pass the vetting!!

Failed on near side off leg, vet said she was concerned about stiffness in this leg, and the possibility of problems with the tendon!!

Daughter is very disappointed, but can't risk that, as he could break down, then she would have a lame and unsound pony on her hands that she can do nothing with!!

All in all a bit of a draining day really, had to wait ages for the vet, as she was called out to an emergency colic!!

However, well done Slinky!!!! Great effort and so glad that the ponies have been removed and gone to somewhere to receive proper care!!! Brilliant HHO!!!

its nice to come back in here and settle down, what a day, but lovely to hear from slinks that they are tucking into some hay

Horses are both snuggled up in bed after vet saw them, don't know anymore than that
