My stinky spaniel has just come and jumped on me - he has been out and its absolutely throwing it down.....

Slinky - they never grow out of it!!!! Mine doesn't "do" rain, so when he's put out because he can't cross his legs any longer, he decides that I must be the towel!!!!

He does it for badness, I'm sure!!!

yes lump on back, appeared few months ago doesnt hurt to touch it etc

Couldn't be a "jumpers bump," could it?

Darcys is literally a raised part of his spine just past the back of where his saddle would be.

One of our ponies had one come up - the physio looked at it and wasn't worried and it went away as suddenly as it came up. We think she may have rolled on a stone or something in her field and bruised her spine - still has never stopped her from doing anything!!

Idlp, have you been doing a lot of work, and a lot of jumping? If so, it could be a jumpers bump. It's a slightly raised area just behind the saddle towards the start of the rump.

It sounds as if its nothing to worry about to me - might be worth just having physio/ chiropractor out to check just incase

no not alot of work but last rider did tend to sit/slouch in saddle and possibly lean bit far back

Sorry Idlp - just to say, if you are really concerned, ask the physio about it. It doesn't sound as though it's serious, and no saddle should sit on the spine anyway, but get it checked to put your mind at rest!
