Well got up with good intentions of riding before work to find the rain had arrived about 3 hours earlier than the forecast and it was already pouring

......the neds were soaked through so I will now be riding tonight in the rain so I can come in and dry off and warm up!!

Off to work in a bit but needed coffee

Girlie is making progress (finally!) He can now ride in school but still not get on in school (has to get on outside stable - v. complicated mare!) Hunky vet coming this afternoon to scan her insides to make sure her 'tightness' isn't being caused by a problem with her ovaries.

Hope you get to the bottom of it for her - the getting on thing seems to be the one thing that takes the longest to sort out - we have a 4 and 5 year old here whose owners struggle with getting on/getting them to stand. Just takes time i guess!!

LOL - she stands perfectly fine to get on in the stable barn but will buck you straight off if you get on in the school

I don't think pony will be home for another 3 weeks - her owner goes away for 2 1/2 weeks hols tomorrow or Thursday so unless we're super quick then I think it will be mid August cos we go on holiday for a week when she gets back...... Sods law!

Am working again, in scotland again - not seen my boys so am missing them like mad. Hubby can't ride at the moment due to nearly severing his left forefinger last week so the boys are lolling around the fields doing sweet FA!!
Ha Hovis is in for a shock this weekend!!

Idlp, they do give it clearing away today with just the odd shower tonight, so glad I rode last night otherwise it would have been another week of not riding

hmmm thats what my dad just said. anyway been looking for other shows just incase, theres always redpark on thur altho not been there before and theres moorhem next tuesday, altho thats on grass so might be too wet.

He's on gentle hacking only, as his lameness (soft tissue damage in hoof) is taking its time to go away, so I figure if it's raining and he just stays in the field it doesn't matter, and because he's not working he's not being fed so it's saving me money!

I was a proper housewife all weekend, my house has never been so clean! OH came home from his landrover show and even he noticed, but then said "Why can't you do this every weekend!"

I'm walking like John Wayne at the moment, just went out on an EPIC hack and I'm feeling the burn of it now. Darcy was a bit of a bouncy ball and felt the need to jump every puddle, dip, hedge, fly going - but hey-ho

i think i have a stalker, basically girl who had my cob thing the fat one on loan and didint look after him, keeps txting every so often and asking how he is and she tried calling last night.

OH has told me to ignore all calls and txts.

Haha they are little buggars aren't they! The little fallie's down at the farm are getting more and more ruthless at the moment, and I occasionally am the one who goes out and clears the womans field for a bit of extra money / to help as she has a bad back. The smallest one (Who i could probably pick up! ) likes to lunge for your faces...

And ldlp111 she could be missing him/ wondering about him perhaps. I know when I stopped loaning my horse from years and years ago , although it was on good terms that I found it a bit hard to detach myself at first

Hi All!!

Usual day at work!!

Got lesson at 7pm this evening on a horse called Muppet. Ex-eventer (retired due to cataracs (sp)) so he knows exactly what to do... should be entertaining for all to see!

Then off to see my friend as she has split from BF, so needs cheering up!

ldlp111 - I would just ignore, especially if she didn't look after him. I emailed the lady who owned my last loan horse a few weeks ago, to see how she was. I was nervous she might have a moan, but she emailed back loads of piccys of her, and of her other mares new foalies!! I was so happy she was ok, she even invited me to pop over one day to see them all!!
 
hmm but this was 6 months ago now that i had him back, at the beginning i replied but now i dont, she actually got bit rude and abusive at the end. plus she lives just up the road from me so she can clearly see how he is. its not so much her i dont like more her mum and dad.
 
I've been sat indoors since half past 12, and I'm bored out of my mind.

I've gone past the stage of being irritated bored. I feel almost numb with boredom now. And I can't go anywhere either

All 3 cars have been taken, the Dog point blank refuses to be taken for a walk because of the shower we just had, the house is clean (enough!) and all tubs of ice cream have now gone.

Sigh!!!

!!! I decided that instead of taking her in the school I would take her down to the botton field where she has more room to manouvre and room to fling herself around with out loosing her balance or falling out of canter on a corner - and it worked!! and I'm like DOH

If its meant to be a bit showery tonight , would Darcy be better off with or without his fly rug/ mask? Or does it not really make any difference. At the moment all the showers seem to have passed and I know he won't melt yadada. But still
