Im a zombie. I cant wake up. I have to go and see weather the big marey one still has a swollen leg but i am really not functioning.

Anyway... Hello to all!! Been looking on internet for a particular riding jacket I am after.... well, its my birthday next month and my OH was asking me for ideas.... I did email him an advert for a lovely mare.... but he didn't seem to keen on the idea!! Oh well!!!

Sorry I had to rush off last night!!

Just as I settled down to communicate with HHO, the phone rang, and it was my MIL. My father-in-law had slipped and fallen hitting his head very hard, and slicing his arm, as he was carrying a milk bottle at the time. Now, he has some very serious health problems and had two operations for bleeds on the brain at the end of last year, so, obviously, they wanted my OH to help them.

So, we rushed off to their house, about 12 miles away, and when we got there it was chaos!!

The nieces I mentioned in another post are staying with them, and of course they couldn't be left on their own. So I stayed with them and they all went off to A&E. They are going to check him this morning, and make sure he is ok, so I'll have some information later.

I did tell OH the day before that his parents are not able/capable of looking after two young children, as they are frail and not in good health. It appears I was right, as the youngest niece (wanting to help) decided to mop the utility floor, leaving it sopping wet, and my FIL slipped on this as he went to put the milk bottle out!!!!

It's grey but not raining this morning so hoping to get a few things done, and horses exercised!!

Just spoken to FIL on the phone, they have given him the all clear so phew!! that's a bit of good news! Just have to sort out my own Dad now, who is behaving like a spoilt brat, as he can't play golf yet!!! (Who'd have parents eh?!!

ive been out for a long hack think it was nearly 2hours, needless to say i was abit stiff when i got off!!

Lippyx - im always dreaming about being pregnant, still waiting on the cash though!
 
morning Idlp, know how your feeling, I went out last night for 1 1 /2 hack and I felt fine till I slid off and then my knees were like jelly, they don't feel as bad today but don't half click alot

is it me or is it not as much fun riding on the roads anymore, too many cars, one nearly squashed me this morning.
 
Your right, where we are on our country lanes they speed along, have spoken to a local councillor about putting the horse signs up. My daughter had 2 near misses a while ago. One screeched to a halt and horse nearly ended up in hedge and the other one ........well he never slowed down at all

it suprises just how many drivers dont slow down or give you enough space. i think in their opinion we shouldnt be on the road full stop, but if i had a choice of riding through fields, forests etc i know which id choose of course but there just isnt many bridleways round here and the few we have are abit derelict due to back gates causing access problems etc.

its funny to think people are allowed long bridleways but horses arent allowed on footpaths??

ldlp111 - where I stay its always a constant fight with traffic esp when council reroute a closed road along our single track one!!!
 
so been trying to decid whether to ride archie tonight or lunge, or give him a quick lunge tomorrow before the people come to look at him. what do you think?
