morning guys

weather started off with spots of rain, so decided to go garden centre to see what plants youcan grow this year.

rode when i got back, hmm mayb a mistake coz met this horse out riding which wound her right up, was halfway round and from there onwards it was either gig jog or trot or a very fast with the head motion of a nodding dog on speed!!!

also this guy was chasing me down road turns out he wants horse manure, told him he could have it for free altho donations were welcome.

then gave hectors head a wash in diluted hibiscrub as hes been rubbing it like mad at mo.
then put him in his new prison, altho during process of deciding where to put it forgot to make sure he had shade!!! altho dont know how long he'll be in there as my haysoaking barrel seems to of developed a leak??

and now on hho instead of doing accounts tut tut!

oh and deciding where to hang rosettes getting too many for original position.

have a good day guys

Well saddler came out today - all I wanted was my saddles checked for the BGL and reflocking if needed - my neice was getting a new saddle for her pony as his old one was pants - so its finally my turn and the old GP I have for him (which I thought would be the one that would need work) is absolutely fine and needs no work - bought that off a friend so am secretly pleased
cool.gif
- although I don't suppose she would be to chuffed to find out that her 'english leather' saddle is actually made in Argentina
laugh.gif
laugh.gif
laugh.gif
!! Next came his stressage saddle - doesn't bloody fit at all as it is too wide and can't be reflocked either as it need to much flocking for it too fit. So I then end up trying and buying a new saddle
blush.gif
!! Arrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!
mad.gif
mad.gif
mad.gif
!! But it would also explain some of the issues we have had around canter as he has such big shoulders it was stopping him from moving freely - the new saddles were a huge improvement as he really strode around the school with nice big strides!! So now not only am I skint but I also feel guilty for not getting the saddle checked sooner......
frown.gif

Know how you feel there, I desperatley need to buy a new saddle for star but she is such an odd shape I'm finding it hard, so we are stuck with the one I use for now even though it does bob up slightly at the back, but she has free movement in it and it is not rubbing her anywhere.
Good side is yours is feeling alot more comfortable in it, so thats something.
Shame though you gotta go from pizza to beans

We've booked train tickets to go down to Pompeii tomorrow. It's absolutely boiling hot here and I've already showered twice today, and no doubt will do so again before bed. Didn't sleep well last night.

Doesn't anyone know Sean Ellis the man who lived with his wolves, he had a documentary about it on sky.
His wolves live opposite valley to our horses so sometimes when its peacefull you can hear them calling along with the monkeys.
Can I ask what saddles you have?

My tack is sat next to me in front room, keep looking at them as they do need a really good clean
blush.gif

I've a brand new brown Wintec VSD 17" that's been used about 12 times!! and is in excellent condition
frown.gif
I Know it's not worth a fortune but it's just sitting doing nothing!!!) I also have a very old leather GP saddle, was given to me, so would be ideal for someone breaking a horse, as it's not in great condition! I also have a black Throwogood (sp) saddle which was the big mare's, good condition, but again, would suit a high withered horse!
grin.gif

Of the three the wintec is the best, all the ones we use now are leather, so this one was bought just until horse had muscled up enough to have a "proper" saddle fitted!!

tikino - hope your Mum is ok, and the treatment helps

S_V - see you later
