Never mind - it will soon come back with a little bit of work. Can your daughter ride for you?
confused.gif
- fingers crossed for her boy going to his new home obviously! - if she could it will just keep her ticking over for you.
wink.gif

MrsM - how are the arms going?
confused.gif
probably just all achy 'cos you are doing more ie driving etc and you right arm is probably just aching more as you are using it more and differently to compensate for the poorly one!!
grin.gif

Ta for the hot choccy - is it a skinny one ;'cos I am on a diet.....
a015.gif

Definately a skinny one (have you seen the size of my ar£e?!).

Eek, a minute or two over my alloted ten! I no keen on this work lark
frown.gif

As to arms, am living on Ibuprofen again so arms are happier
grin.gif
.

Going to put a saddle on the Dizz and long rein her - vague hope that she won't throw her toys (and me!) out of the pram when I get on her again (two weeks today!! Is sooooo long
frown.gif
).

Washing machine is fixed as well.

On the whole, life is good
cool.gif

Off now, have fun y'all
grin.gif

P.S. There's some non-fattening sprinkles for those in need

My daughter would ride for me but on our yard there is a mare that hasn't been in work for over a year as owner is too heavy for her so she has been given the chance to get her out and about again
smile.gif

Just gotta give myself a kick up the proverbial and get on with it

Me neither
frown.gif
- still it pays the bills.......

Hope Dizz behaves - at least you have 2 weeks to lunge/long rein/pessoa to get her back into the work thing before you get back on board - hopefully by then she will have thrown all her toys out and picked them back up again!!
grin.gif

f_s - if he needs hedges to practise on I have miles of big furry hedges that attnetion.......

Right work now - see you all later

Hello

Grey here. Heating is on to dry child's jods (how kind a mummy am I!).

Am allowed ten minutes on here, then back to m'work. Boo hoo.

Hugs and hot choccies to all

I just buy my daughter plenty of jodhs - she has enough pairs to last until I've bothered to wash.

Was supposed to be visiting supplier in Quorn in Leicestershire but windscreen on car has cracked in a 'X' across where my face goes, so didn't want to risk it. They can't fix till tomorrow as it's a rare car and the glass has to come from the manufacturer.

Daughter is at friends for tea so I'm looking online - cup of tea anyone? Just made a fresh pot, and opened the hob nobs. Diet? what diet?

Afternoon everyone!
Sunny_smiley_by_Balaenanun.gif

I've done all horse duties, and sorted out lots of things "to do", don't know when I'll get round to them though!!!

Can't be ar$ed to buy more johds. It takes forever as she has long legs, no ar$e and a tiny-tiny waist. I lose the will to live when johd hunting.

Back to work for me. So much reading to do and so little time to do it. And websites. And drawings. And house sorting. And and and and and and and...

Tired.

Hope all have had a good day

Evening everyone!!

I was fine, until my son came home! Well, he actually got a lift home, because the car (courtesy car) that he has whilst his is being fixed at the garage, had gone wrong!!! Why you ask?

HE PUT PETROL IN A DIESEL CAR!!!! AGGGGGG!!!!
_scream__by_PoisonTouch.gif

I have now quietly informed him, that he will be paying for that repair, at which point he........promptly phoned up his friend and left the house to go out!!!

I am losing the will to live!!!

Hi gang, back in from visiting - right I have a question and I would like HONEST opinions from my chums on here that I trust - will that be ok? Now before you agree to this it is about my beloved 25yr old Ali, whom you know is my baby and I have owned for 18years, so although I want honesty, it's to be done in a tactful way - is that ok?

Hi S_V, yes, of course, fire away!!

Anyhoo, right Ali is a 25yr old Arab, ridden 3 times per week, lives out 24hrs about 4 days a week and is in at night aout 3 times per week (first year I have ever done this usually he is in at night) and today I felt he was maybe looking a bit poor - at his hips and at the top of his back. He wintered far better this year than he had last but I usually feel he is better in summer, our grass is not fabulous this year. So, what do you think about his condition - like I said, honest but gentle about it please!

(I must say he wasn't feeling overly photogenic today!!
Photo-0143.jpg

Photo-0142.jpg

Ok, so I think(honestly) for his age he is looking quite good!

He is obviously kept reasonably fit, but I do think they tend to use much more feed to give them energy at this age. (I have an 18year old).

Do you feed any supplements, is he on any hard feed? Just wondered, as, he probably could do with a little more on him, but really, he's not too bad at all.
grin.gif
grin.gif

O what a cute face - and check out those ears
a090.gif
!! Yes I think he needs a little bit of extra cover but not loads - I like all the oldies I look after to go into winter well covered - as he is a bit older and your grass isn't so good maybe try a hay replacer like Mollichaff Veteran - it has done wonders for our oldie here (35+!) who was still looking ribby - way more so than your boy - its full of lovely mint and nettles, linseed oil and other goodies. Harvey has it as a chaff in his feed and also has a trug in his paddock to pick at during the day. The little extra has done him the world of good and in a month he has covered up. Oldies just need their feed tweaking from time to time - a little biut more weight and he'll be fab - certainly doesn't look his age!! (give him a sneaky hug
a060.gif
from me when Paddy isn't looking!!)

(if we can work on scoops here large round one) He gets half a large scoop of Dodson Horrell 16+, scoop of HiFi Senior, half a scoop of sugar beet and NAF superflex twice a day. If he is in at night he gets a super full haynet. (this is atthe moment, it's much more in winter. I had been wondering if he was needing more hard feed now as the grass is poop?

Well Harvey just has a trug half full in his field with him and it gets topped up as needed ( at least once a day). The first couple of days he just stuffed it down but I figured he needed it - obviously at his age his fangs aren't great so finds it hard to eat anything but really long grass easily. Its nice and soft and smells lovely - I suppose he probably gets through the equivalent of 3 big sccops a day on top of his 2 feeds and grazing. I can send you some if you want to give it a try.
