Forecast to brighten up for a while this afternoon but then rain again later *sigh* Think I'm growing webbed feet

If its dry when I get to yard I think I might try scraping some of the mud off her ladyship. Didn't even attempt it yesterday and she looked like she was wearing a mud pack

morning guys

well so far have fed the 2 prisoners and cleaned archie stable out boy what a mess!! put more hay soaking for hector, ready for later. then tacked up and went for nice hack not before getting dribbled on by archie though, i was sporting my new fluorescent tabbard this morning (bright pink
grin.gif
)

had a fairly uneventful hack apart from way back when we jumped at woman bent over in garden altho to be fair didnt see her til last minute.

is it better to keep topping archie hay up or should i feed him at regular intervals??

then i decorated the fairy cakes that i made on saturday i know about time too!!

am now wasting abit of time until farrier comes at 1, altho will have to make sure girlies feet are clean for him first which involve a certain amount of washing

Hey all - it is sunny here and I am away out to teach Pony CLub so will be back later.

ldlp - whenever any of mine have been on box rest I have always kept hay topped up

Hi all!!

Had a good lesson last night, but one of the horses had bad colic (see OP).

At work on my own, as one person is off with suspected swine flu and the rest are all out to lunch, but its very quiet!!

No plans for later, other than go through some rugs I've had cleaned to put on Ebay at the weekend. Still pondering whether to sell my saddle? Brand new, x.narrow black english leather, hand made saddle used 5 times? Worth selling or keep to possibly PX when I get another horse (HORLICKS!!!! *prays to horsey Gods*)

Have a good day!!!

xx

my horse is such a plonker sometimes, farrier was just finishing feet off and she was obviously too busy munching on hay coz when i touched her on back she totally freaked out, and funnily enough blamed the farrier
tongue.gif

I'm home, my legs feel like I've ridden for hours and my head is thumping like mad.
Never ever again am I going to our show when its been raining.
It was like glastonbury, thick sticky mud up to your ankles
crazy.gif

There was a good turnout and our RI's ponies got a few seconds and one little fanny (fantasy) got reserve champion in lead rein and rider got first in best rider (bless her she's only 8).
Well just going to have a coffee, then start on my garden, all this rain I haven't mowed it for 5 weeks
blush.gif

See you all later
smile.gif

Bloomin' chucking it down here too!!! Well it has stopped for about on hour and a half, but the water is running down the fields!!!
frown.gif
and it looks like we're going to have another downpour!!!
frown.gif

Anyway, all horse are all right, so pretty quiet day for them all.

Got quite a few jobs done, so just settling down with a

Sounds like a mixed weather day for all us SweetFA'ers. Has been sunny all day here and I taught PC with my sunglasses on wearign a t-shirt rather than the usual jumper and jacket!

Anyway, got some housework to do and my garden so I'll be on laters x

well today has been pretty ordinary for me, it involved lots of horse poo and feeding. cooked tea. have played the lottery online for first time anyone else do this??

put a radio playing in tack room for archie to listen too, altho the radio station is abit crap. hes still not happy being in and is bit sweaty silly bu*ger.

O'eck. I've actually roasted tonight. 20 degrees - I think not!! Must've hit nearly 30
mad.gif

Why does the weather have to be so up/ down!? Its now looking set to really pee it down.

Anywho, had a good school on D , he got a bit hot though bless him, so we ended up both having a bath
wink.gif
Thanks..

well just cleaned archie out again!!! hes still not happy. neighs when he sees me, is bit sweaty runny poos, he wont get colic will he??

Is he being kept in etc I gather? Could be the change of diet thats making him all a bit loose ie going from grass to hay. Maybe? I'm not really sure !

Oh and Slinky , dont suppose you could PM the photos of your bed!
grin.gif
Im really intrigued by the wood pellets..

No PM of pics, I want to see her bed

SV a glass of wine would be lovely, just waiting for my pasta dish to cook
smile.gif

ldlp sorry, know idea about colic, only that they look and kick at their tummy because of pain.
Maybe like DL says its change from grass and staying in, or he's getting himself frustrated and that can bring on runny poos

S_V I'd love a glass, thank you!!

Never too early!!

Idlp - probably the change in diet, from grass to hay. Just keep an eye on him, but he'll probably settle soon. Fingers crossed. Did the vet give you any sedative, if he doesn't like being in?

D_L - I read that as "you'd like to see Slinky's bed" !!!!! Had visions of a heart shaped one, with pink satin sheets and ceiling mirrors!!!
