i will try to but its not easy. i think with the weather we are having winter is here already. my friend works for a counciling chariety and working with some guy who is has worked with before but i think it is 2 close to home if you know what i mean.

any tips on what to feed my boy to stop his weight going up and down. story is he came back to me from an neglected loan home in april and got him back up to weight but he is starting to loose his condition again and is now got a heavier rug on to keep him warm

he is 12 yearold arab x conemara 15h1 he gets chaff conditioning cubes and sugarbeet joint supplement and garlic x2 daily he can't get to much heated food as is a hot head
when he came home from his loan home

Oh he's lovely tikino, I went to see one like him this evening!!!

Do you feed hay or haylage??

Have you tried A&P Calm and Condition, it's a quick soak beet but did our big mare, she came out of the winter looking poor!! Also a bit of pink powder, helps to balance the gut again.

Haylage helped her too. She was like a hat rack, and at 16.3hh and 18 it was tough to get the weight back on without making her too sharp!!

oh yes forgot to say he is on adlid haylage now as he has been brought back in

He looked smashing - you must have been so upset when you saw him!! What chaff is he on? if he can eat alfalfa without going loopy put him on alfa oil - will soon pick up. If he can't eat that oil in his feed and up his fibre - so more beet and chaff and ad lib hay. Can he have hay in his field? or if not just a big haynet overnight in his stable. Jus thought if he can't do alfa oil look at the Mollichaff range as they are different chaffs with oil etc in them - just check for the molasses if that makes him loopy!! Is he being ridden at the moment?
