Have just seen her last post and am now retiring gracefully from the fight

......I think she has us on user ignore anyway!! Still will keep watching it to see who rises to it today!!

Well have heard from my neice and she isn't coming to YHL as she is hoping to do the Oli Townend Challenge that day - will be her first competition on her loan horse!

Do you know anything about acorns Slinky? What quantities make horses ill, I know it's a fair few, but just trying to gauge whether I need to panic or not!!!

I wouldn't panic! We have big oak trees in our fields and yes they probably eat the odd one but as long as they have plenty of grazing/hay/feed they will be fine.

Just caught the two little so and so's chomping today, and quickly fenced that bit off, but didn't know how many they'd managed before I got to them!!

I think its like everything - they get a taste for them - but in 'nature' they are designed to eat all these things in moderation as they would find it when roaming pasture.

Definitely colder at night now, but the days have been fabulous, and light until around seven, which means riding!!!

I'm really not looking forward to the wet, dark, cold and windy nights, and bringing my lot in and out!!

I managed to find the other two pairs today, and I'm going to see how much they are at the local tack shop (they send them away), if too expensive, I'll try the web, or send them to you!!
