I really need to have mine cut - I ended up having to miss my last appointment because of work but I think I'll be lucky if I get it cut this side of Christmas now as the hairdressers are so busy.
Flapping in and out like a slightly demented flappy thing :coo:.
I'm tempted to take Dizz... have to think about that one
. The other option is to find a really good instructor (with a horse lol) and get some lessons while I'm away. Will have a lot of our work to do, so evenings should be well occupied, which is a good job as it's the one part of the country where I know no-one at all...
. I'll be on here every night (hm, no difference there then lol).
Anyhoo, I'm off. I'm doing the info sheets for the site and it appears to require brain power...
With Darcys last loading episode considered, I need to get him a new set of travel boots as his are beyond help. His tail guard is also no use as he loves to rub his bum on the back-bar and last time he made it bleed both times
No matter what I do to the flipping tail bandage.
So, do I go for inexpensive boots incase he does it again or..
Why do you wear boots, does he really need them or are they contributing to the problem?
Just asking as years ago, I was transporting my mare with a well known transporter in this area, he shipped very expensive racehorses all over the country, and had her in travel boots, tail bandage, rug etc.
He took one look and said get All of that stuff off!!! I was a bit taken aback and asked why?. He said, if you put boots on they can't sort themselves out, and they often slip and make matters worse, then they panic, the rug will make them too hot, and he would consider the tail bandage. When I thought about this, he did have a point!!
To this day, I travel all horses naked, and, touch wood, I haven't had a problem
See I don't really mind either way what I do travel -boots wise especially back wise as he sets his legs so far apart they really aren't going to interfere with each other etc. However fronts wise he's caught his legs a few times as he stands with these two together
